It's a goofy shoujo with pretty standard character clichés, but it's got a passionate kiss like 8 episodes in and later on - I'm not sure if you can use spoilers on this board - marriage, impregnation, and a legitimate happy ending for pretty much every major character.
It follows the main characters through high school and into their late 20s.

You can watch chuunbiyou. It's actually a really good show. It's safe to say it's in my top 3, possible the first. I haven't watched the second tho because of all that hate towards it. So just don't watch the second.
