Im trying to get into Japanese Dating Sims
Any recommendations? Not necessarily eroge games can be innocent/vanilla dating novels.
I don't know where to start (Or if there is a general about these types of games that can be useful)

School days is pretty great, lots of choices and ends
Didnt finish it but Grisaia no kajitsu is generally regarded as a good one.

School Days? sounds like youre baiting or are you being honest that the novel is good compared to the anime counterpart

Not baiting.

I wouldn't personally recommend School Days, it's pretty dull and the dark ends are very dark (although unlike the anime it is possible to have a satisfactory love story).
If I were to recommend some starter romance Visual Novels (don't know to much about traditional dating sims) I'd say something like Katawa Shoujo (not actually Japanese but same style), Grisaia no Kaijitsu, Sharin no Kuni, Symphonic Rain, Rewrite or Clannad. Choose one of those and roll with it.
You can find a Visual Novels general on /vg/ and pic related is a rec chart with more stuff.

thanks anons very helpful

First of all, this.
Secondly, visit the /vg/ thread called /vn/. They are generally the authority on visual novels.
I can't say I've played many VNs but I did very much like Grisaia no Kajitsu. It's quite long (50 hours to complete) but it's very much worth it.
MajiKoi. Only about 1% porn. Common route is great, not all that thrilled about some of the specific routes. Great characters overall, though.
