Hey /wsr/ my younger sister (she's 12) has recently asking me about the anime I watch. What would you guys recommend for her? I'm thinking of something that's dubbed in English and not too long maybe around 50 episode max.

Diabolik Lovers

I think a 12 year-old girl might like these:
1. ToraDora
2. Moon Phase
3. Rolling Girls
Boku no pico
>>126044
>Sailor moon
>gekkan shoujo nozaki kun
>kimi ni todoke
>Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (jk)
>Barakamon
>Fullmetal alchemist
>Himouto Umaru chan

Some shows I enjoyed as a 12 year old girl;
Fruits Basket.
Ouran Highschool Host Club.
Hetalia (Dubbed)
Chobits.
Tsubasa.
Code Geass.
First few seasons of Card Captor Sakura.
Wedding Peach.
Kodacha! Childs Toy.
Nana.
Inuyasha.
Some newer stuff;
Kuragehime.
Noragami.
Akatsuki no Yona.
K-On!
Nichijou.
Hyouka.
If you don't mind her becoming a fujo, set her on sports anime. Shit like Haikyuu!! and Free!
It may help you to go poke around in MAL's shojo/josei tag.

Oh, and most of the shows I have listed are in fact dubbed! I don't know about a few of them, like Kuragehime and Nana tho.

Full Metal Alchemist (Brotherhood) is a bit dark at times. A bit too dark maybe, Brotherhood less so than the original, but still. I don't want to undermine children's abilities to understand and process things, but I don't know about showing it to a 12-year-old girl. Especially with the Nina and Alexander scene. Maybe I'm acting too much like an overprotective parent though.
Most of your other picks seem alright though. I hate Umaru-chan, but a kid would probably love it.
>>126078
>Code Geass
Most of the rest seem fine though, maybe.
I agree on the sports anime and shoujo/josei tag comment. Yowamushi Pedal, Kuroko no Basuke, Diamond no Ace, etc. seem like fine anime, not that I've watched any of them. They're basically like the female equivalent of what a guy would be watching at that age anyway.

These three are joking, please don't watch these with your sister.
bocu no pico

Cardcaptor Sakura
There's an English dub of the entire series now and not just the episodes which aired on TV
>>126044
She's twelve, not brain-damaged.
Dubbing is for small children who can't read. Unless your sister goes to a special school, that's not her.
>>126044
You could be a dick and show her Madoka
>>126044
If your long term goal is to fug her then go with Oreimo.
>>126331
This.
Haganai, Kill la Kill, Shimoneta, and Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
>>126187
This.
>>126045
>>126086
>>126419
b-but Diabolik Lovers is explicitly made for an audience of young-teenage girls.
>>126417
>Kill la Kill
Not sure if bait. I thought it's a garbage, but my sister loved it.
sailor moon 4 shore - little girls watch it
>>126044
Well considering it had been a day I doubt you are still checking this but RWBY would be great I reckon
>>126892
This is bait by the way.
Azumanga Daioh. I think the dub for that is really good tbqh.
>>126044
Milky Holmes is a great girly anime
>>127048
However, if you're REALLY concerned about protecting your little sister's innocence (I would be), there is a kind of creepy pedo teacher and some sex jokes here and there.
Ichigo marshmallow with subs
>>126044
Go for the sub man, its always better.
Watch clannad bruh
Or Kanon is better imo
>>127334
>twelve year old wanting to read sub and not getting bored
Right man
>>127347
I watched Naruto and Bleach subbed when I was twelve and it wasn't even on TV in the US yet.
>>126044
not dubbed
>>127347
Oh, I forgot you were American.
>>127347
I live in Europe and most of the shows on tv were subbed, so I was never bothered by reading subtitles. I even watch shows in English with English subs.
