If you're on a budget why not build a custom desktop instead? For ~$200 you can build a desktop with better performance than even a $600 laptop.

This build will let you play BF4 on medium-high settings and get you 50-60 FPS. You can add a graphics card later for better vydia performance. Also the CPU in the APU has about 2X the performance of the one in the $400 laptop ypu mentioned.

Total cost: ~$140. The tablet has an okay atom processor and a microsd slot for you to store your programs/notes in. 64GB should be enough for notes + a few programs.

That's pretty fucking shit. That dual-core processor will malfunction or not work at all with modern games that use 4 cpu threads.
Never go with intel unless you are willing to pay for i5/i7.
My build is miles better because it's a quad-core CPU and you can crossfire the iGPU with a GPU. So say you decided to get a $100 R7 360 in the future... if you were to crossfire it with the iGPU you would get like 1.5X more FPS in games.
Always stick with APUs if you're in a budget. intel is only good for $1000+ builds

R7 360 i guess. It can still crossfire with the iGPU in the APU. I don't think R9 graphics cards can crossfire with APUs.
But get this later. You can do a ton of pc gaming with just an A8 desktop APU, albeit at 720p resolution.
