So I just got a new SSD. At the moment I have a bunch of crap on here that I don't want.I only windows on here but I'm not sure what programs to keep on it to only have Windows. Can someone please let me know which files to keep to have ONLY WINDOWS on it.

Yes, this is the easy straight forward method. It's not as simple as dragging those files and dropping them onto your SSD, that will not work.
