Anybody know of some good anime where the main character is a middle aged or old person? I'm talking 30 at the very least, and not in the magical "they're a thousand years old but look like a teen" way.
All that comes to mind immediately is Monster, I think he's over 30 anyway. He might be in his 20s.
Middle aged anime characters seems pretty rare, probably because most anime is aimed at young people, either children or young adults. There's no shortage of anime with adult protagonists but they're typically still pretty young and in their 20s.
if it counts, howls moving castle is about a girl who is cursed to become an old woman for most of the movie
