What did he mean by this? How do you define "beta" in stories where people achieve incredible, supernatural feats all the time and routinely have to stand up for themselves in order for the plot to advance?
Does Fullmetal Alchemist count? Is Ed a beta? It's a good, completed not overly long and well-paced manga in any case.
