I'm running out of space to store my anime, porn and personal files so I want to buy a new HDD. Would you recommend buying pic related?
I hear RAID 1 is a decent way to keep backups/redundancies, plus I've already got a 4Tb WD My Book and 2Tb Passport which, according to the store information, I could attach to the back of it to increase it's total storage capacity.
It'll cost about $900 for the 8Tb version and $700 for the 6Tb version.
Alternatively, I could just get another 4Tb My Book for $240.
It's very likely I'll be using up 4Tb within the year, so I may have to buy another HDD next year.
What should I do?
