I replaced a folder with another folder with the same name. On OS X. Is there a way to recover the old folder?
With no ill intentions im going to unironically recommend Reddit for this question due to almost nobody on 4chan haves a mac, mostly an iPhone
r/ whatever its called

I'm already scrolling though macrumors forums, different subreddits and have installed and tried 3 different recovery programs. Thought I'd ask /g/, anon sent me here.

Sure, it should be right there in Time Machine.
Got a Raspberry Pi for Christmas. /r/ing suggestions for what to do with it. I don't really have any additional hardware at the moment apart from the pi itself, though
I use mine as a dedicated mumer server for mumble

What kind of Pi is it?

This seems like the right place.
According to https://youtu.be/PrFR2JEkP5w?t=36, this book has an early Shinji concept design and commentary.
I have the physical book in front of me, and I can't find it.
Anyone know where I can find this quotation?
I think this page would be the design, and the comments are in the thumbnail index?
or this one
I'm looking for an image, or maybe just a list, that organizes various synonyms for "said" (e.g. blurted, stammered, yelped, etc.) by tone (e.g. angry, calm, stoic)
I swear I've seen it somewhere, but I messed up and forgot where I found it.
Bump, this could be a useful resource for aspiring writers everywhere.
Does anyone know where this is from?

Nevermind, found it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtkM70AX2Ks
What are some good lesson/tutorial series on Premiere Pro out there?
>>13105
search "curry nigger mumbles on cheap $5 mic" on youtube
I don't get why people feel like they need a tutorial simply for using a software.
It's designed to just werk. Here's my advice:
1. Do the thing you want to do
2. If you get stuck, google the problem
3. Repeat step 1

This is how you end up spending ten hours doing something the package could have done for you in thirty seconds, if only you'd known it could.
Also, it's by Adobe. It most certainly is not designed to just werk.
I'm trying to come up with a reasonable laptop for my mom to use. Shes disabled and cannot walk very far, mostly bound to a wheelchair. Because she can't do much else, she plays her cute little casual games on her phone and fritters away her days. Lately shes been having trouble navigating sites to pay her bills and stuff because they all make shit mobile site versions. I usually help her navigate them but I have to leave for a semester of college after Christmas. Does anyone have any ideas for a reliable, decently priced laptop she could use?
>>13093
have you checked the /g/ wiki yet?
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Laptop_Buying_Guide
I'd recommend a used/refurbished business laptop
lenovo
their keyboards are head and sholders above everyone elses shitty chiclet shit. get her a nice low-end business laptop. they're durable, ergonomic, nice non-glare display...

If a Thinkpad x220 is good enough for Stephen Hawking, it's good enough for your mom.
They're dirt-cheap because nobody wants a Sandy Bridge laptop, but they're indestructible, licensed for Windows 7 Business (and therefore Windows 10 Pro), and if you spill your coffee on them it comes right back out the bottom.
All the laptop/tablet versions have a touchscreen, and I think it's an option on the laptop version.
Definitely go with Windows 10: it's got loads of features to help people that aren't good with computers or have trouble manipulating them.

I kinda like the art but if it is in fact a logo like the filename suggests, it has no meaning. It's not a word or a symbol, just a rectangle cut into 4 pieces at angles.
I have this tiny little Thinkpad x100e that I wanna put stickers on. What are some good ideas for stickers so I can print them out onto one vinyl sheet.

There was this newgrounds flashgame with this fat kid as the playable character, he collected drugs or something. It was a platformer.
I think the name was Bol but nothing is coming up in the searches, he was fat, blonde hair and a green sweater? Ringing any bells?
Fat boy raids the cookie factory?
Can anyone translate this for me? For context, it was inside the sleeve of a vinyl copy of Adventure by Kikuchi Momoko. 雨の Realize is one of the tracks on the album.

I don't know Japanese but I suppose that they corrected the spelling of a name (there are thousands of different kanji, japanese characters, and some are today only used in names, so errors may happen).
The character under x is the wrong kanji, the character under the circle is the corrected kanji.
>>13004
Thanks, you're right, the credits list the name on the left for that track. Much appreciated.
