If someone could remove this watermark I'd be the happiest person in the world, added a lower quality version of the image as a reply without the watermark you could use as a reference
much appreciated

Sup, /wsr/. I'm looking at building an HTPC for my mother and her boyfriend. They're cordcutters who watch most of their shows through pirate streaming sites by connecting their laptops to their flatscreen through HDMI. They're alright with their setup, aside from the inconvenience caused by tripping over their HDMI cable once in a while, but I think this would be a nice gift for them. Plus, I've been wanting a new project to work on.
Anyway, I'm thinking this box should:
- Run fast, and quietly
- Be able to handle different streaming sites,...

Seems reasonable.
If it were animu, I'd spec a stronger CPU.
Add on a PS3/PS4 Bluetooth remote control.
As for OS, fuck Windows, just install OpenELEC, and Bob's your proverbial.
>>18474
My mother despises animu, which is strange since she watches a lot of cult scifi series. Is 10bit video really that demanding?
I was debating going with a PS3/4 controller, but I wasn't sure how compatible one would be. It would probably be better than an XBone controller on Linux though.
I've heard of OpenELEC but never used it. What distro is it based on? Does it take much work to set up?

>Is 10bit video really that demanding?
It's not the 10bit video, it's the subtitles. Some fancy tracks can have 250,000 glyphs per second, each of which needs to be rendered, textured and composited by the CPU*.
By "PS3 remote", I meant this thing. Works well. Behaves like the kind of remote a normal TV would have, which helps normies acclimatise.

Please recommend me some anime following the thematic of traditional japanese folklore. Bonus if it's like actually good. Not looking for moeshit or slice of life, eh about harem. Yes I've watched Monogatari.

Sad bump
Just read Tsugumomo
This is very specific, OP
Request:
Please mods allow user to delete our own thread here. There's no reason to let my thread staying up and get bumped when I already get the answer im looking for.
>>18414
If it weren't interesting to other people, it wouldn't be getting bumped.
What makes you so super-special that you should be allowed to delete a thread people are talking in?
>>18419
Well sometime people just arguing about stuffs unrelated to the topic and bump it. It looks more interesting than it actually is.
This is a request board not discussion board.
>>18419
This, don't be such an entitled twat who thinks that once you get your answer nobody else deserves to see it or possibly ask a similar question without needing to spam the board with more threads.
/wsr/ecommend me an anime with great music that isn't Cowboy Bebop.
FMA and Samurai Champloo

Listing my OST 3x3:
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
Aria
Samurai Champloo
Hyakko
Nichijou
FLCL
Paranoia Agent
Natsume Yuujinchou (though, like, half of it is quite dark ambient, so if you like that part more, Aku no Hana's OST is much superior in that respect)
Strike Witches

Seconding FLCL.
Also, my list:
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Kill la Kill
Gurren Lagann
Madoka Magica
Clannad
Little Busters!

oh yeah, I like to pay, have tons of expired links or traps and malware
Was about to buy a $800 dollars laptop after my old one of 6 years finally broke but since I still had a vostro 5470 from work I decided I might as well buy my first PC.
I'm in NY until January 6 so I can take a day or two to go shopping it in person If have to and would have to order them soon if go shop online.
Anyways any good build with $800? I would use some engineering programs (CAD, solidworks) and some gaming would be good, nothing over 1080p though.
Also I have literally nothing (mouse, keyboard, monitors) so I can go over that budget if necessary.
>>16778
I think you may need more money (I don't see you buying all with that budget), also, name some of the games you would play, for reference. May be able to help later, after work. Check some builds. I think there is a thread asking about a build here, may also ask there... And check /g/, I must assume someone asked a similar question... Or at least, you can get some ideas.

Copying that anon's battlestation too?
I made my own and had it printed, ended up being free because stupid chinks couldn't figure out how to print something without cropping it... even though it was the right aspect ratio and 600dpi. So it's missing the bottom right text.
Hi I hope I finally got to the right f***ing side...
As the pic shows, that is the problem I'am currently having on one of my laptops. And I currently are in no possession of a Windows CD.
Is there a way to install windows anyway while the whole damn System 32 file is fucked up and no CD is avalible?
Only if your HDD/SSD has a recovery partition. Otherwise you're going to need a download and USB or a this CDs.
do you have another pc? you can burn windows to a new cd

Hello I need help finding the full image of Ryoko that was used to make the grips on this gun. From what I can tell its Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo and it looks very well drawn like official art work but I could not find any that looked like the image.
I tried cropping the grips and trying to find it but only came up with a crop of the face which was used for a avatar.
>>16900
Jesus fuck, made everything more complicated than it had to be
http://passing-fancy.com/blog/2011/07/15/shin-tenchi-muyo-2nd-series-by-hitoshi-okuda/
It's the cover of the second volume I guess. The scans from my usual sources have only the VIZ version
Imma try to find the original as a scan
>>16936
Thank you so much
>>16936
Looks like it is indeed one of the covers, I can make out one of the background lines on the grip image.
