I ran into a question on the SAT that I had to skip due to time constraints, and I want to figure out how to do it correctly.
It was something like this:
f(x) = (x+1)(x-3)(x+5)(2-x) expanded is:
f(x) = -x^4-x^3+Ax^2-11x-30
What is the value of A?
So is there a shortcut for finding the coefficients of larger order polynomials given the roots? Obviously expanding the entire thing is not the correct way... right?
>>139471
It is, however, you don't have to expand it entirely. It'd be suffice if you just Multiplied the first two and the last to sets of parenthesis.
You'd end up with : (x^2-2x-3)(-x^2-3x+10)
And since you only care about whatever's next to the x^2 in the final version of the equation,
You just have to to this: (-2x*10)+(-3x*-3)
There's no need for a shortcut you just have to get used to doing it quickly.
>>139482
Fuck, I meant (x^2*10)+(-x^2*-3)
>>139482
Oh shit now I understand. Thanks for the reply!
can anyone identify this painting please?

try on /ic/ also.

is it supposed to be famous? where did you get it? the more info you can give us, the better
What is the 'Citizen Kane' of anime? Not necessarily the one you think is best, but one that has a critical consensus of being the best of its kind.
The only big one I can think of is Neon Genesis Evangelion (the series and the "End of Evangelion" movie from the 90's, not the newer "rebuild" movies).
But the answer probably is that there isn't such a thing. Basically in the history of Japanese animation there have been many notable works that formed it, but none of them are influential enough to have "a critical consensus of being the best of its kind" for all anime.
There are some good posts here:

>>139446
i would say cowboy bebop. and for movies ghost in the shell.
>>139446
I think I agree with most of what this guy says. Evangelion is probably one of the biggest influences, but not on the level of Citizen Kane, maybe. And a few of the things posted in the that thread are decent as well. That guy who jokingly says One Piece and then non-jokingly says Cowboy Bebop is just upsetting though.
>>139456
Pretty sure Cowboy Bebop had very little influence in Japan. I don't see why people would think it was influential. When people...

Don't you mean "How do I expose my dick to the entire world without using twitter?"
What are some anime like Spice and Wolf and Ore Monogatari?
I need some good drama, but I'm tired of watching shit that has some bullshit twist at the end and ruins everything. I just want some comfy romance.

tl;dr Max, Maya or Blender. Blender is free.
Greetings.
I am updating a "PC buying guide". Updating with the GTX 1070 release. Performance of the GTX 1070 means that everything in its price range is obsolete.
Therefore:
-R9 390X drops from Outstanding to Excellent (still a logical card, but only barely)
-GTX 1070 added to Outstanding, Exceptional
-GTX 1070 x2 added to Enthusiast
-GTX 1070 x2, GTX 1080 x2, to Extremist
I will drop the R9 390X if the price of the GTX 1070 drops to match it.
Pic related. Any feedback?
Their are serious flaws with this guide.
>Nobody ever needs more than 500GB of space so you should not recommend any HDDs for the higher price brakets
>There is no point in spending more than $30 for a case
>Custom CPU coolers and expensive motherboards are pointless for locked CPUs
>>139320
Agreed. I will reduce the HDDs to 250GB, remove the cases and replace them with cardboard cartons, and provide $35 mobo options for the $350 CPUs.
Thank you for your valuable input. It is much appreciated.
>>139317
>$450 for something that makes the screen prettier
Does it come with a happy ending?
Can someone animate this comfy pic?
Something along the lines of this.
>>139315
there's not much in there that's animate-able, maybe some steam rising out of the cup or the sink dripping or something. was that what you had in mind?
I am not good with animating but I will give you a bump

Every time I see this gif I wonder where do Wojak and Gondola sleep
Give me some smug Gene Starwind, please.
Please post bunnies.
All relaxing wallpapers are fair game but focus on bunnies, please. Try to avoid posting wallpapers that "look" relaxing, but don't really give you the feeling.
I need these, because I have anxiety, and I'm trying to improve my environment.
Please post videogame related charts / image guides / tier lists / etc. in this thread
I'll dump the ones I have.
Please don't ask
Does anyone have a download of The Name of Life on the Spirited Away Soundtrack? The version with vocals. I found a YouTube link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhpZI-Rwkv0), but I really don't want to make a YouTubemp3 because those tend to sound bad.
Was this ever on the OST?
It is from Ghibli's 25th anniversary concert in the budokan

出てくる = came out.
Remember that 来る is "towards" the subject/emotionally closer to the subject. Therefore the flower 出てs from the seed, and 来るs towards the subject. If it went, it would be 出て行く.
ひまわりの芽が出てこなかったのです = "[my] sunflower didn't sprout" [Satoko's did].
