What I always do is send a fleet down to attack them as soon as I can in the early game, when they still have only one province. I load the fleet with nothing but archers. (Helps to be Chosokabe.) Then I just camp outside their walls and rain arrows on them until the time runs out. Yeah, I lose the battle over and over again, but eventually they'll all just die, usually on the fifth or sixth assault. And then I can just march into the castle without taking a single casualty (other than winter attrition).

This. Either he's a hardcore newfag or just a troll with a "DON'T LIKE WHAT I HATE X(" mentality.
Nigger should see some of the other threads and how spammy they got with only one show (some posted by me)
>>1164091
We've had anime threads with informal themes in the past ("Engrish", "OPs and EDs", etc.), it's no big deal since these threads will hit the bump limit in a day or two and no one cares if you follow the theme (since it's informal).

But this one feels more concise and has the proper flair of the "real" combination.
Either way, in combinations you can never do worse than Dancouga in my book. Two mechs become SHOES... and another a face mask. And that's it. Let's make the mammoth the rest of the robot and call it a day.

God, I remember when I was a kid I used to play with this kid named Sammie who had an action figure of this exact character. He was a massive Power Rangers fan, a massive Dragonball Z fan, a massive fan of this, that, and the other thing. His house was fucking littered – no, PILED – with action figures from every imaginable franchise that it is possible for a budding nerd to be into, and I had no fucking idea what any of it was, because my family was fucking dirt poor, and I had neither cable TV, nor internet, nor a game system, nor any action figures of any kind. It's only been in the intervening years that I've found out the names of the franchises that he loved so much. And now I just feel so deprived. Like I never even had a childhood, and was just sitting there watching as this kid Sammie blissfully enjoyed his.

No, but childhood is all those shows and video games and stuff that I never got to watch/play.
I mean, I guess I get to pine about how I would run around outside and play in the grass and snow and stuff, while all the whippersnappers these days are just glued to their smartphone screens, but that just feels like a hollow, cantankerous, bitter sort of thing to be nostalgic about.

"The courage to be a lazy bum" probably means more in Japan where most people tend to be work-aholics. Being a lazy bum would probably be going against the wishes of your family which is tough for people to get over.
In western countries, being a lazy bum is seen as a legitimate lifestyle choice (to an extent though) whereas in Japan it's really looked down on.

The emotions and motives are very real in the series. The fact that it builds on those very two things is the same reason a lot of people find it boring and too talkative.
There's a larger, underlying plot that requires a bit more understanding than is expected. I don't know if you have done so specifically, but I imagine a lot of people are searching for a plot that can be resolved in a single season. The thing is, the entire story is arc-driven, with each arc leaving pretty heavy implications for the ones before and after. The arcs don't end on just a single season. -not to mention that the "first" season, Bakemonogatari, comes chronologically after Kizumonogatari, which is slowly coming out as movies at the moment, and Nekomonogatari (the OVA).
As a whole, the series is pretty complete in terms of plot, character development, etc. The anime adaptation by Shaft is done pretty well (save for a few arcs, arguably) but it largely comes down to whether or not you like Shaft's SHAFTiness.
It's not a series that can be adequately judged on one or two arcs alone, but if you're not hooked by the second arc, then chances are you're better off looking for something else to watch.

There have been numerous undisputable masterpieces in total war modding, such as the strikingly realistic classic Europa Barbarorum or its medieval counterpart Stainless Steel. Radious mod will not join their ranks; its surface is too generic, its presentation too provocative and its messages too obscure. Its take on the abysmal is an illumination in one person’s despair, but a paroxysm of another’s perversion. It will remain underground – treasured by the most avant-garde among intellectuals for its edifying if horrifying insight into the fundaments of human morality. Philistines and self-proclaimed critics alike will shun Radious mod, but you can’t fault them for that. It takes wisdom to appreciate its subtleties, and courage to side with the unpopular opinion. Sed domi maneas paresque nobis novem continuas fututiones.
Superficially, Radious mod appears to be a mod which caters to the most proletarian among men; aloof critics dismiss it as such often without a second thought. As complacent as these self-proclaimed "understanders of strategy" are, they fail to realize that Radious mod is a cult classic, a chef d'oeuvrea buried under false preconceptions and unfounded criticism. This gem is hidden because it does not shine; it is buried because its tone is that of abyssal black. Radious mod pries into to the darkest corners of our subconscious, the most visceral of our cognition, the most carnal of our urges, and the most primal of our instincts.

>>1165794
He literally explains it to you. What part of his explanation don't you get? I never could understand why people claim Monogatari is "deep" or whatever, everything in it is explained at great length in dialogue, monologue, and soliloquy. There's not much left to be inferred when the author leaves practically nothing to the imagination.
>>1166251
No.
Fuck off.
Might make a montage just of this girl being cute
Tomboys are great
>>1165809
Ah, that makes more sense. So it's more like, "the courage to take time off from work", then, although perhaps with a slightly more negative connotation.
>>1166274
>He literally explains it to you. What part of his explanation don't you get?
His explanation didn't make sense to me. He claimed that the phrase implied certain things, and I didn't feel that any of those things were implied at all. So I got to wondering if maybe the original phrase was poorly translated in the subtitles or something.
