Hey Skeletons,
My name is Nick Virago, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are skinny, boney, no-lifes who spend every second of their day of the dead betting on stupid ass cats. You are everything bad in the land of the dead. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any pelvis bone? I mean, I guess it's fun solving puzzles because of your own insecurities, but you all take it to a whole new level. This is even worse than being friends with a demon.
Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best sprout. I'm pretty much perfect. I work as...

Fucking google it, dumbass.
Is this a good way to get into Dragon Quest series?
is Theatrhythm a good way to get into the Final Fantasy series?
>>2913381
Perhaps.

Honestly, you should start with a mainline DQ game.
DQ Monsters is meant for A) People that want more from the DQ series but have played a shit ton or all of them and B) People that LOVE Monster RPGs.
Either way, if this is how you get into the series I'd love to have ya as this means more discussion.
You know, I really wanted to like this game.
I had Lufia 2 as a kid and finally decided to get Lufia and give it a shot.
I like Lufia 2. I think it's a great JRPG. I like the puzzles and the IP system. I figured I'd finally try out the original and see what it's all about. I just got out of the Ghost Cave.
How anyone thought this was good is beyond me.
The enemy targeting system is one of the dumbest thing's I've ever seen. Frequently making you distribute your damage against multiple enemies, basically making whether or not...

I remember watching someone play this on an emu in alternative school. I tried it out and then went back to Helicopter Game.
I say finish it just to say you did. You never know, it might pick up. RPGs tend to get more fun as you gain access to more skills, more customisation and more challenging battles. From what I've seen, there are many people who love Lufia 2 but don't like Lufia 1 so you're not alone.
sorry, I think it stays consistently crappy all the way through. Lufia 2 was a fluke.
What emulated game are you playing on your cell phone? Pic related.
>>2913203
Since it's not very powerful, I can't emulate anything but NES and GB/C
>>2913203
On my psp I'm emulating demons Crest and phantasy star iv among others. Dont believe all that talk about psp snes emulation. Ive had only one instance where it was faulty
>>2913491
the only game i had a problem playing properly was dkc3, was slow as fuck for no reason idkwat
I remember when I was a kid, my Rygar was bugged or something, I couldn't pass this one certain screen.
I'm about to go back like 25 years later and settle some unfinished business
Who is your Rygar? Games you still have to beat thread
>>2912873
Robo Warrior
fuck that game, I'm convinced it's impossible. Either that or I'll just never figure out how to play it.
>>2912873
R-Type, TurboGrafx version
never got past Stage 4
apparently they even had the audacity to ADD an extra boss in the port. Fuck that shit
>>2912873
Every play the PS2 Rygar? It's good.
Hi, does anyone have this game? (ROM of course
>>2912835
Never heard of Socks the Car. Is that like some bootleg of Socks the Cat?
LOL! My mistake, R and T are very close
>>2912837
According to Google Image, I'm guessing it's a game based on pic related.
Maybe an Unirally spin-off?
Fun series. Anybody buy the Legacy Collection? The challenge mode is decent fun
Also 2=3>6>4>1>5
Not sure why people love 5 but hate on 6

>Not sure why people love 5 but hate on 6
5 is usually seen as one of the worst ones outside of contrarians. It lacks almost anything new (for Mega Man standards). 6 is what 5 should've been, but its still too easy for my tastes. Heck I think its by far the easiest Mega Man.
I'd get the Legacy Collection if it was 5 bucks seeing how they never took advantage of remaking the engines. Capcom didn't even put it on sale during Steam Sales.

Also fuck Legacy Collection.
MM3 has the best title music. Prove me wrong
What's the best way to de-yellow a PlayStation 1? as you can see, that's my PlayStation 1. It may not appear yellow in the image but it's pretty noticeable in real life. How would I go about removing this tiny bit of yellow? Any help is appreciated.
>>2912752
>It may not appear yellow in the image but it's pretty noticeable in real life.
Impossible. Does your camera not photograph yellow?
>>2912752
Bleed yourself dry.
>>2912764
You can see parts of yellow on the front of the cover, near the controller port area.
Anybody have the metal plate that connects a Model 2 Sega CD and the black plastic Base Extender for Model 1s? I have the black plastic part but not the metal plate that goes between the two pieces. Email in name, let me know.
BST, buy, sell, trade, it is what it is.

Sent you an email.
I have a Sega Saturn mega memory card, playstation that plays burned games, virtual boy controller, brand new PSX controller and some other things if anyone is interested.

Feels good man.

Anybody have any experience with this game?
>>2912632
Average to mediocre platformer
Did they intend to make the character look like an austitic Plucky from Tiny Toons?
If I want to buy a physical copy of this game, is it worth the trouble finding an English PAL copy or should I just grab a repro cart?
>>2912481
>English PAL copy
Highly sought after. You'll be paying through the ass for it.
>repro cart
You might as well buy a random sports game and write "Terranigma" on it with a marker. A friend of mine has a reproduction Mona Lisa that he keeps insisting is just as good as the real thing.
>>2912490
>repro cart
>buy
Just emulate and enjoy.
I've heard some converters have problems with some regional games. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
>my uncle works for nintendo
>>2912407
It must have sucked for that one kid who's uncle really did work for Nintendo.
Statistically, some kids' may have had their dad's brother work for Nintendo LTD.

I think there's something what makes the second generation great.
So what?II generation thread
so what was the FIRST generation? Maganvox Odyssey and the galaga, pacman and space invaders arcade?
>>2912334
There's a special spirit about them at least to me. They come from a time the mere existence of video games was a wonder. They have a simultaneous fascination and fear of future about them, much like the early synth music and other breakthroughs from that zeitgeist.
Of course, that was lost when the campy kitsch of the 80s took over
>>2912343
Pong clones. Arcades and computers don't fall under console generations.
Animatied NES !

Sucks that Sega of America decided to make Alien Soldier a channel exclusive. I kinda resent the service for that reason.
