I've been looking at lists of the best games of all time, and I've noticed some Phantasy Star games make it onto the lists. My only exposure to the series is Phantasy Star Online and PSO2, so I'm wondering what of the non-MMO games are worth playing?
1, 2 and 4.
3 is literally unfinished. 90% of the rooms you walk into are empty and there's like 6 NPCs per town. Some people apologize for it, but naw dawg

PS4 is basically Sega's FFVI and is one of the best period JRPGs. Great visuals, OST, characters, story. Definitely a must play.
PS1 is good and actually holds up better than FFI in my opinion. It's basically Wizardry and Might and Magic meet Dragon Quest, a solid classic graph-paper dungeon crawler. If that sounds up your alley, give it a play, but you might find it a little dated.
PS2 is a transitional game between I and IV and is supposed to be great with a good story, but I haven't...

What's the worst game you ever bought as a kid?
Pic related, I begged my parents for this game for weeks before they finally caved in and bought it for me, just thinking about it still makes me feel guilty. I only played it for maybe 10 minutes before giving up and never touching it again. Fuck.

I vaguely remember my Dad saying no and knowing that it was probably garbage because he knew better about TV/Movie licensed games, but they still bought it for me anyway. It makes you realize how much your parents really love you, willing to waste money on a game just to make you happy even while knowing you'll probably never play it again. So many bad games are bought with parents money.

Hey guys, just hooked up my SNES to my HDTV for the first time, just had some questions.
I have this problem, where the video signal can get really 'shaky' or 'wobbly' its really bad and annoying to play on.
What are my options to improve the video signal on my TV? I know there are some devices like the one I have pictured here, are they any good, what ones are worth the money, and what are the costs of them?
Are there any other options? I've heard of modded SNES systems, too... how do those work? How much better does RGB cables...

first, you need to connect your console with an RGB cable. Make sure you get one adapted for your console (I'm guessing you have an american SNES).
Then, make sure you set the output as 1080p so your tv doesn't do any scaling. Also set your tv to "game mode" if applicable.
Do note that these devices add lag (between 2 and 4 frames, 1 frame is 1/60s ), on top of the display. I can play fine on my pc monitor (because it doesn't process image before displaying), but I tried on a HDTV...

What's so great about banjo kazooie. I usually love rare games, but I don't get what's so great about it? Every world has the same objectives and overall is a Super Mario 64 ripoff. Also the camera is ass. People keep saying it's both a classic rare game and an awesome game overall, but this just an overrated game fueled entirely by nostalgia. Help me out, I'm sick of all the praise it gets.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Level 1 saves. JP and USA versions.
Alucard is set to level 99, but with level 1 stats. It is a kind of "hard mode" though ti's not that hard for veterans. The equipment is still broken of course, so if you know the right combos you can breeze through it.

I didn't use the Crissaegrim. But I did get those +15 DEF necklaces late game that drop from those weird guys up top and that made the last chunk of the game pretty easy.

Literal translations are awful, QED Wild Arms 2, a very literal translation which resulted in nearly-incomprehensible gibberish.

Heey guys, recently picked up a N64 and was quite confused. My N64 will run games with the code of NUS-EUR-1 but not NUS-EUR. Wouldn't it still work with it seeing as it is a EUR.

OP here again, also can anybody please please please tell me how to unlock the Dozer car!?! I have every track and every secret car unlocked except the Dozer. I can not do it. Everything i try doesn't work. I have read a various websites how to unlock it but nothing works. It says to beat the california cup with the semi, but it doesn't work. Yeah, basically Police Quest is what you're looking for. A real shame it became the gritty SWAT series.
Not to get too political, but it shows the evolution of the police in popular American culture from a civil servant with a gun to the borderline soldier fighting a war at home. It's gotten so bad that in certain cases they send the National Guard to help keep peace and the actual fucking army looks less like soldiers than local police.
