A decent JRPG that didn't get its full potential because the FF team are money-stealing bastards and about 40-50 hours.

I'd say around 20 hours or so if you wanna get everything out of the game, 7 of actual gameplay and 13 of wading through dialogues.

All pretty reasonable choices so far, but my favorite is Teleroboxer.
It's crazy how in such small library of games you can still find some good diversity and people can pick different favorites, although I'd assume Wario Land is the most popular and for good reason. That'd be my 2nd choice.

So there are new ways to remove the Vaseline smear that is the N64 AA + Blur filter combo.
The Anti Aliasing can be partly done with just a Gameshark, but its easier to do with an Everdrive flashcart with aps rom patches found here for the No-Intro rom set, which the Everdrive can automatically apply:

Chanced upon this when I was searching for PAL PSUs for PS1s since the country I live in uses 240V and I wanted to know if I have options aside from getting a stepdown transformer.
Should I grab one and test it out or just invest in a stepdown transformer for the PS1 instead?
i'm pretty sure there's another adapter you can use from a ps2 slim or something (don't just do this check first) but the difference in 220-240 shouldn't be a problem.

That won't do, those are basically the standard adapter connected to a box that goes on into a smaller jack that doesn't connect to the PS1.

genesis uses fm syth which can't do 'voices' (snippets of recorded sound) but the snes is. Genesis can do much more with its sound than displayed in that crappy port job, even so, does the snes one really sound better to you? It's super muffled, low quality and repeats the same bit over and over because that's all they can fit on the cart (voices take up more room than synth which takes up almost no room).

PC-98 is truly the worst. The most popular ones aren't open source so they will never be improved.
There is a qemu fork that looks promising though.
I recently got my brother Sailor Moon Another Story as a birthday gift. He is not a gamer at all, so he doesn't want to waste hours of grinding playing through a game he only wants to play for the story.
There is apparently two cheat codes to start a new game at levels higher than level 1. One is very simple, you press X and then start at the title screen, you will then hear a chime, and you can start a new game at level 16.
However, there is also also another in-game code to start at level 99.

There were multiple revisions of the game released. I'm pretty sure the lvl. 99 code only works in the first release, and maybe the second? It's def something they removed though.
