I really miss "no$gmb" the DOS gameboy emulator.
Mostly because it had no bullshit. Just the emulation in fullscreen, and with super game boy borders, something that seems to give most modern gb emulators trouble as far as i've seen (and fuck off, i want borders for nostalgia reasons)

lots of cool shit, lots of boring shit, but all in all pretty interesting in regards of how testing worked in the 90's, also pretty good fuckin quality for being shot to vhs in the 90's as well.

Did you also make this comment OP? The quality is very average for a semi-pro video production. VHS itself is actually capable of good image quality, but most look like shit these days due to age or usage wear.

nope but i thought about it, i dont know shit about vhs editing, i was more talking about the fact that its from ages ago and the fact that it had'nt had the quality degrade too much compared to other tapes ive seen from that same period. At the end though they talk about how it was shot with a sony ccd-v5000 and edited on a sony evo-9700 hi 8 which probably has something to do with it, but once again i dont know dick about vhs editing or the types of cameras used back then.

I used to play BB, pretty much to the point that I've milked all possible enjoyment from it and can't really play it anymore, But you have fun, anon. I hope your server there stays active.
My cheap shitty upscaler stretches out video from my Saturn, so every time I play on my Saturn I have to go into my monitor's settings and manually switch it to 4:3 fill.
Is there a better way to do this? My raspberry pi actually does aspect ratios properly, so I have to switch it back to 16:9 after I play on my Saturn.
Instead of spending $400 on a Framemeister, I'm holding out for the OSSC. Do I just have to deal with my shitty upscaler until the OSSC is ready?
Framemeister is around $300-$350.
OSSC is going to be $250+ shipped. For the assembled one. No sound over HDMI too. Getting that will add to the expense. May need a power supply also.
Both have positive and cons. Framemeister still the best scaler out there. OSSC may past the XRGB-3 as the best line doubler.

Wonder what kind of assembly is involved with the DIY kits? Hell it's probably a FPGA, which I know nothing about anyway let alone mounting and programming the thing. Despite the price tag I'll probably get one or the other eventually.

So i just played Quake for the first time and it's really fun.
But when I watched some youtube video about it, I realized that the graphics look kinda different.
Did all the vids I watched had the same graphic options, or does my game really look different.

After playing the N64 3d games being so smooth graphically and engine wise I was like what the fuck when I finally tried Tomb Raider. That game was so hyped up and when I played it even on a old ass television it the world looked like a giant fucking puddle of quick sand. And you could barely even jump while moving forward and shit. Having to turn while standing still and shit. What am I missing?

What the hell is this shit? I never played it back then and, being a huge fan of the psx titles, always felt a void about having missed it. Now, I just finished the 1st disc and, even if the improvements in gameplay graphics etc are nice, could the story be more vapid and ridiculous? Did they even try? That continuity with RE2 could not be more improvised... where the hell did 'steve' come from? and the ashford character is awful too. What a deception... I now see where the franchise started its downhill.
What are your thoughts on this game?
I was REALLLY into RE2 (I began Resident Evil with that game). I never gave a shit about the story except for what I saw in re2 and then Nemesis I absolutely also loved the gameplay and the story was just as OK.
I finally tried 1 and figured fuck this game sucks balls. I saw the Dreamcast version of Code Veronica come out and always wanted to play it but never got the opportunity when I was younger. A couple years back I got the PS2 version and was wondering what all the hype was about. Like I said I was never into the whole Resident Evil storyline but was expecting at...

Well i too started RE with RE2 and back then i didnt pay much attention to the story either, i just loved the game and the global idea of the story. RE3 was an amazing continuation for it and i also didnt like RE1 when i tried it, only later.
But recently in my retro replaying of them all I did pay attention to the story and there was at least something in them. But fuck, CV just sucks. The whole atmosphere of the psx ones is just gone. Felt like some of those pop survival horror games that started coming out...

Different writers are tasked with a few weeks to come up with the story to a sequel.
Capcom's model is to pump out tons of games as fast as possible. not wait until it's a good time to make a new game because you have some good ideas.
