Take a game, change its rules and challenge others to do it.
Ill start: try tetris leaving one single space each line, with the less score and lines possible.
So...lose at the game?
>with the less score
So just stack everything so you top out in like 5 seconds?

^ This is the kind of thing OP meant, I believe.
I'm sorry to hear about your brain problems, OP. Hope you get better soon.
Is it just me or was Earthworm Jim 2 kinda dark in comparison to the first one?
Don't get me wrong, It's nothing to get autistically scared about but some of the level gave me some sort of a weird melancholic vibe. Anyone else felt that shit as a kid?

The main villain kills puppies
I think yes
>>3252821
The level where you swim around as a salamander while Beethoven plays in the background still remains one of the most hauntingly surreal levels in gaming to me.

Then you had to play that trivia game where you answer a bunch of nonsensical questions. Someone must have been having issues.
/vr/s opinion of Lammy?

Fuckable.

and does anyone have pictures of her feet?
it's just for laughs haha i don't actually like feet
Great game and cute character. Paper cutouts don't really do it for me sexually but by all means continue with your line of discussion.
Hi, guys. I'm not really a poster here. I browse occasionally when /pol/ is being overrun by shill bots. My question for you highly esteemed individuals is this; how do I emulate on an iPad without jailbreaking or is it even possible? I'm an old guy and I really would enjoy playing retro games on my iPad. Nothing makes me hard like video game nostalgia. So, any and all help/suggestions would be appreciated.
>>3252439
google would probably be a lot more helpful than 4chan
>>3252439
Well, you can buy the emulation apps if you don't wanna make any tinkering.
If you are serious about emulating games on the go, try with a PSP model 2001 or 3000, best emulating machine ever.
>>3252446
Ive looked but there are various emulators and I'm experienced with none of them. I was hoping people here would have a bit of experience with them and be willing to share their knowledge.
So, i sold my NES and decided to stick with the emulators on wii. The problem is that the image quality of the emulators isnt as sharp as the original console, also i didnt notice any observable scanlines. Is there a way to introduce scanlines to the Wii just like the NES?
>>3252224
>wanting scanlines
I don't know. Get a CRT?
>>3252224
using wii retroarch just set the video options to 240p or lower. You are probably running interlaced.
Pic related obviously. Just asking for some recommendations for games in the vein of Leisure Suit Larry. For some reason I'm drawing a blank outside of the Lula games (already played them). Any help would be great and try to keep it SFW I guess.
There's a lot adult adventure games in Japan though most of them don't have a point&click interface.
Yu-no would be the standard recommendation. The tone is more serious than Larry or Lula but there are still some gags and comments to lighten the mood.
is this adult like mature or adult like i wanna stroke my peepee to cartoons
>>3252298
Looking for sexy time related goofs and gaffs mostly.
I just played Mega and it is an awesome fast paced action packed shooter I unfortunately missed in my youth. I honestly prefer it to Contra games. Way cooler power ups and visuals.
>>3251225
is this a run n gun for ants?
Turrican and Contra and entirely different games that can't be compared to each other, but either way both are amazing as fuck.
Oh shit, do not tell /vr/ that you seriously prefer a western, a European game over a Japanese one.
I just got done watching a buttload of Bubblegum Crisis and Dominion Tank Police and now I need Cyberpunk games
Any console, I don't care. The more nighttime neon cityscapes the better.

The one that tries too hard to sound like a '70s prog rock song but fails miserably.Oh wait, that's all of his music.

Why does it fail miserably?
To celebrate the western release of Romancing SaGa 2, let's have a fun thread for the SaGa franchise! All retro entries in the series are welcome.
If you don't like the fact that the game is only available on phones, I understand completely, but please don't ruin this for us.
Please report and ignore mobile whiners. Don't try to tell them off, because they won't be hearing it. Thank you!
>>3244163
>Phone only
FUCKING SHITjust kiddingprobably going to start the ws remake of 1then maybe the ds games
>>3244176
Good stuff anon. If SaGa 1 is your first experience with the series, keep in mind that it's still pretty unlike the other games. Still great, though a little primitive. The DS remakes are absolutely fantastic, though.
>>3244182
I got a good ways into SaGa frontier years ago and played a good chunk of the DS version of 2. I also unknowingly played some of FFL3 when I was like six, but I don't have memories of that.
I recently came across copies of Frontier 1 & 2 for $3 each at a garage sale, so I figured I should play through some of the other games to get a better idea.
I also have the RS1 translation on my SNES flashcart, but I haven't started it and was told I should just play the PS2 version anyway.
>One Sega Game Gear advertisement featured the quote, "If you were color blind and had an IQ of less than 12, then you wouldn't mind which portable you had." Such advertising drew fire from Nintendo, who sought to have protests organized against Sega for insulting disabled persons.
>Sega responded with a statement from Sega of America president Tom Kalinske saying that Nintendo "should spend more time improving their products and marketing rather than working on behind-the-scenes coercive activities."
BRUTAL
Tom Kalinske is a douche who blames his failures on his Japanese bosses instead of accepting responsibility like a man.
You don't have to dig very deep to find a hefty share of Sega ads that were vulgar, insulting, and rude. Its the reason why I have no sympathy for them losing the console war in the end.
He's fucking right though. Nintendo has the worst marketing of any console manufacturer ever and always has.
Sega's marketing on the other hand was arguably the best in the history of the video game industry. Most of the reason the Genesis sold at all was because of the brilliance of Sega of America's hype and "XTREME!" style marketing that was typical in the 90s. That's why it never made a dent in Japan where that marketing was a non-factor.
ITT: post your favorite retro vidya to movie/TV/cartoon adaptations
Sure, it's a very inaccurate adaptation of the game, but I think it's a great Looney Tunes-style cartoon. AoStH's Robotnik is probably my all-time favorite cartoon villian.
You know how I know you're gay?
Because Mortal Kombat isnt your favorite.

Are you a bad enough dude to name your all time favorite retro game?

Wow, thanks for the insightful post. Do you have any reasons those ar eyour favorite or would that hurt your brain too much? I could create a fucking bot that could write posts exactly like yours and nobody would be able to tell the fucking difference. That's how fucking worthless you are.

Every game mentioned in the OP is retro

you fucked up already.
Anyways, the Greece level of Castlevania has such good music and visuals. I wish it had more interesting level design to back that up.
The typical norm has been for support to stop for a game console once its successor got released.
However, there are quite a few notable (shining) examples.
Pic related was released when the Famicom was going nearing 11 years old, and its among the best puzzle games on the console, and definitely an overlooked gem.
Those who have Animal Crossing for the GameCube can actually play this classic.

>Those who have Animal Crossing for the GameCube can actually play this classic.
Too bad you need the GBA link adapter to unlock it.
AC is a great NES games collection but actually unlocking games on it is actually hard or you need a gameshark or something like that. The only game I ever got was Balloon Fight (twice!)

Kirby's Adventure tops my list
I miss when a console had continued support after the release of it's successor
