I have a few. It's a nice handheld and very cheap (usually). Don't overpay, but you might pay a premium for shipping out of JP.
Be VERY careful when buying games for it. I would say 95% of the games on it are completely unplayable to people who don't speak Japanese fluently. It's easy to get fooled by a game with an English title and then you get it and it's not even a game, it's a visual novel fully in Japanese. Emulate before you commit to buying.

I think it's a rather good game that made some clunky choices in level design and flow that prevented it from being a great game.
Wish Raven did a 3 in the early 2000s. Considering how modern gaming is I don't want the Hexen series revisited at this point.

The PlayStation 3D platformer choice of the patrician.
Got it randomly from a cousin throwing out his old games during the PS2 era. Started out thinking it was pretty easy and wound up very surprised by the depth the game develops in some of its later stages.

What are you thoughts on these establishments? They seem to be gaining tracking in larger US cities. Do you frequent one? Is there something that would make you go to one or something you hate about barcades in general?

They'd definitely have to lean towards newer generations and casual just-passing-by players who maybe aren't even that into video games to have a fighting chance. Even then, in a world with mobile phones, it's questionable. Maybe a net cafe could work. There's no way these things are gonna be packed with 20-40+ year old gamers all the time. Is it okay to talk the entire Wipeout series here?
I don't really wanna ask the shithole that is /v/ and I'm interested in getting into it.
I'm F-Zero fan basically forever and love futuristic racers in general. But I was a Nintendo kid, and I never really had the opportunity to try Wipeout.
So basically: Which ones can you recommend? I have a N64 and PS2 (the only two systems I own that had Wipeouts, but I could emulate the rest).

First of all, basically every game in the retro "old trilogy" is worth playing. 1 is worth playing just to see how it started, but the game itself is a bit clunky. 2097 and 3 improve massively.

It's kinda clunky coompared to later marvel titles but it's fun, for single-player the AI is pretty shit though, you have to exploit it to get further.
