Hey vr/ I'm looking for a gameboy clone, something that can emulate gba games that cheaper then the k101. Anyone know any solid systems to buy?
>GBA
Not retro. Will never be retro.
A Chinese Android tablet/phone.
>>3270576
The GBA SP AGS-101 continues to be the definitive way to play Gameboy/Gameboy Color games.
You're also retarded.
Nothing makes me happier than clicking over to /vr/ and seeing someone sperg out about what is and isn't retro
ITT:Really obscure horror games

Tell me more
I'll have to buy this game on GoG since nobody wants to tell me their opininion on it.
>tfw you calculate all the money you spent on games that aren't worth much anymore...
>>3270412
I can look at it both ways.
I bought plenty before prices started going up, but those $1-$3 dollars games really add up. Like $300, which is kinda a lot for my income.
While I could say that it was a good investment with the price inflation, I have no intent of selling them (fun games), so it's kinda irrelevant to me.
I haven't made many new purchases that I regretted. Wasn't till 6th gen that magazine and online reviews became 95% unreliable.
Waste of money I guess but I enjoy the hobby.
>>3270412
i would imagine a sealed perfect dark is worth $60
Which Game Boy Tetris is better to get?
It's Tetris, not brain surgery. Just get one.
>>3270182
The original because its super gb compatible

I don't know who you are or why you're doing this but I support you posting hot azns in random threads. Keep up the good work.
Admit it anon.
You used to sit in your room/basement for hours, thinking of robot masters for Megaman sequels and attempting to draw them.
Share with us you best ideas from 25+ years ago.The only one I remember drawing up was a guy named Battery Man. He shot battery acid. Because battery acid is cool and edgy when you're a youngfag in the late 80s/early 90's.
I didn't do that at all.
>>3270064
I drew dadman. He came home from work and would play with me and my brother and tell us he loved us and not get drunk and beat up my mom.
yeah you're right. I thought of this guy when I was tiny and I drew this four years back. Then I learned about Kinnikuman and boy is it cool.
Did Miyamoto ever address the issue about him ripping off Giana Sisters? I mean just look at the two games, it's painfully obvious.
>Great Giana Sisters - 1987
>Super Mario Bros. - 1985
Case closed boys, let's pack it up.
At least this is a semi original shitpost. Better than the overrated general shit.
>>3269981
Fuck off with your retarded bait. Not even the youtube babies are stupid enough to fall for it.
ITT: Creepy or disturbing retro games.
Blood always creeped me out.
>creepy music
>its raining
>suddenly a hooded guy with chainsaws on his stumps
::shudder::
Part 2 on Genesis also creeps me out, the darker palette definitely helps.
>>3269878
Creepy/creeped out is a word used by women to describe a man that is lacking sex appeal.
The word you're looking for is spooky/spooked.
Getting this out of the way
Why is the Genesis Shadowrun so overrated? I mean it's a decent game, but it's nowhere near as atmospheric or thought out as the SNES game.
>>3269849
Go post it in the MGS thread.
Because WRPG fans will bend over backwards to fellate any kind of sandbox RPG, no matter how limited and repetitive they are. They're wildly invested in their east vs west wars and their ideas about "freedom" in games to the point that they would rather grind the same handful of quests over and over because it's the only actual way to advance without realizing that in some ways it ultimately MORE restrictive than the "on-rails" style of story-based JRPG they've been duped into hating on principle.
>special snowflake needed his own thread instead of posting in the other shadowrun thread
might as well put a tripcode on fegget
Which version was better?
Mega CD
They are not "versions" they are 2 separate stories and games.
I think the cover art says it all.
a kind anon told me this should be posted here:
I put PS1-2 in the title because I owned a PS2 but I would have been able to play it if it were a 1 game, and I can't remember which it might have been.] All I can remember is it possibly being open-world (a specific place I remember is very green and grassy on a sort of cliff with circular pillars you can jump to), you played as a flying squirrel/raccoon/some kind of animal, and you were able to glide/fly. I have no idea what it was about or the goal of the game or anything, but I've had that damn setting stuck...

possibly bubsy 3d.
for your sake i Hope it's not
If it's from the early 2000s, it probably does not actually belong here.
Another anon on the /v/ thread said it's on PC, has very basic textures, and he thinks you collect nuts from trees or something. He says the "Squirrel" you play as could be mistaken for a fox, and the game is definitely pre-2000 with very basic textures.
It's likely OP has played a PS1-version of said game.
Is this worth a buy? Pic related is $55 with Pac Attack, I don't know if that's a good price these days.
>>3269195
That is the standard price. However, unless you have an old ass CRT, the SNES is going to look like shit. And even on an old CRT, the games look blurry and fuzzy compared to modern gaming.
>>3269195
That's a normal price for a SNES with a meh game.
>>3269202
As a poorfag, is SNES collecting just totally going to price me out?
What are some of the best home computer games of the 1980's?
>>3269060
My brothers and I had a great time with Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves.
>>3269060
Protip, forget about the Spectrum. The Amstrad version usually played the same but had enough colors for you to see your shit. C64 one was always made from scratch so it was a hit or miss, either the best or the worst one. And don't even bother with the MSX ports.
heiankyou alien 1979 JPgame

Was Tails always dying a result of underdeveloped AI or done on purpose to show that Tails as a character wasn't as "good" as Sonic?
What makes you think we need 8 fucking Sonic threads on this board is what I want to know.
>>3268585
Poor AI.
did anyone ever play as tails and let sonic be AI?
how does he do compared, since he doesnt fly
What are some 3D platformers with little to no exploration and just plain old jumping? I only know
>Pacman World
>Crash and its clones
>Rayman 2 kinda
>Bowser levels in Mario 64
>Sonic levels in Adventure
>Croc
I grew up in the age of platformers being simple so the exploration thing confuses and enrages my old mind.
>>3268529
>this stupid fucking "add high resolution assets to a game and it looks amazing" meme
>see that unreal demo shit of Zelda and see people saying it looks so much better than the original
>it's a clusterfuck and looks like shit with no art direction
>>3268538
Sometimes I think Nintendo would do better if they just slapped togheter some half-assed tech demos with stolen assets.
I find interesting that many comments in this kind of video keep praising it and saying that they put Nintendo to shame.
I mean, look at this
