You faggots born in the 90's have no clue what you missed. And you will never experience it at all.
So why should I care then. How can I miss what I will never know
>>3358529
You are not missing what you have never know.
You will never know what you are missing.
So I'm having a dilemma. I want to sell some old games and systems on Craigslist. Now, I don't want to be that scumbag seller who charges out the ass, but I also don't want my stuff to just go to some asshole who'll flip them for a big profit.
How should I price my stuff?
Twice what you payed.
Bout $350.
>>3358397
Don't overthink it. You want to get rid of your stuff, and someone will hopefully buy it at whatever price(s) you list them. After it's gone that's it - the buyer can do what they want with it (whether keep or resell). You won't have to think about it again.
Can someone tell me what the fuck this shit is?

Hey guys,
I bought this converter to play my saturn on my playstation 3d tv in a beautiful 4:3 aspect ratio, although the converter scales it to 16:9 and makes it look choppy. Also my tv won't let me access the screen settings to change it while playing through the converter. Do you guys know a way I can output in 4:3?
>>3358119
I'm not gonna lie, that converter is pretty shitty. You should return it and save the money towards an XRGB Framemeister.

Just wait a few months for this:

Probably a stupid question but is there any documentation of what it was like for people making bootleg NES/famicom games? I mean it always seemed interesting to me because of how bizarre and strange so many of them are. also bootleg game thread I guess.
>>3357581
That's just a multicart with regular games on it there's nothing bizarre about the games themselves. The weirdest games you find are semi-obscure games that have had some other character graphically hacked into or other romhacks exactly like people still make to this day, just sold on bootleg carts. Or do you just mean original unlicensed games? Life for those kind of devs was probably shitty. Look up that Tetris guy.
There were chinese companies dedicated to making them, one of the most famous one were whirlwind manu, the ones who made the carts with the catalog numbers "LA-XX", "LB-XX", etc
>>3357601
I know the pucture is a bad example, I meant things like that lion king nes one where he hangs himself or something bizarre. or hell even the whole GRAND DAD thing. I always was kind of interested on what developing/being in this sort of industry was like. also by tetris guy do you mean the guy who created tetris or someone else?
So I saw one of those iceburg memes and down the list was /VR/ Cult Classics. I googled it and didnt find anything and theres no sticky. What are the cult classics of this board? I played a lot of games on Snes and Genesis but I'd like to know what games this board truly appreciates.
That image is referencing /vr/ pre /v/ invasion.
>>3357279
Is there a list of games from that time or no?
>>3357293
We don't do lists.

>No reason to ever not pick fire as your default weapon, because all of the strongest weapons are fire combinations, and fire is the only single weapon that's still powerful.
>The shmup stage on higher difficulties is such a nightmare without the lightning saber (fire+lightning) that unless you're extremely good at it, you're better off just restarting until you can get it from the weapons at the start. I've never even made it as far as Seven Force without it.

I played this game with homing + lightning during my entire childhood and never I've seen any reason to play with anything else.
>inb4 this ammunition is too weak to play on hard
>too easy, never really difficult and has no difficulty spikes
>certain sprites/sections are kinda ugly
>most dungeons are simple caves, could use more variety
>monkey cave sucks ass
>not anything with the actual game but fanbase can be pretty annoying
Still my personal favorerite game, flaws and all. Personally I like the combat since I love the simple DQ style battles but I could see some not liking it.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Anyone have experience with PCengine isos? I am trying to emulate pic related on gba with pceAdvance, but the iso I found was 5 gigs, and there is no way any gba flashcart can work with a file that big. Is most of the iso just padding that can be trimmed? If so what program would you use for that?
>>3356861
I have no idea what you're doing, its impossible for it to be 5gb, since pc-engine CDs would be like 700mb max.
>>3356878
You're right. I got confused. The file is a near 700 MB .bin. I also found the game as 43 "tracks," which in total were around 48 MB, but I'm at a loss for what to do with them
I miss Sarge.
there are more retro vydia with plastic heroes or something similar?

Can I transfer save files from SNES9X (on PC) to BlargSNES (3DS) or do I have to restart the game? And then same question but from SNES9X Next on a cell phone. I have access to the actual save files on both, just not sure if formats are compatible.
>>3356712
save files should just be .sav
you will be able to transfer your saves provided you put them in the correct folder and that they have the same name as the roms.
>>3356852
Save files are actually .srm, though your process is otherwise correct
>>3356712
If they're save ram files and not savestates emulators shouldn't come into it. You can even take your saves from emulator and play them on a real SNES.
