I've lived with a broken family my whole life and one of the most precious times of my life was being alone and just playing Pokemon. So yes, it's smth I would like to cherish and hold on to for a long time.

Afaik the only megas you can get before postgame are the Kanto starter, Lucario, Abomasnow, Aerodactyl, Ampharos, and Gengar
