It was a good start.
My first game was Silver, and Ledyba was the first Pokemon I ever caught on my own. I remember that morning, it was the day after my birthday and Cyndaquil and I just began our journey.

A Ledian got me through a Gold nuzlocke pretty well actually.
It was pretty decent defensively and you could teach it elemental punches which came in handy.
Reddit trading is absolutely useless and too slow, let alone the fact I'de rather stay away from that site if i can. So yeah, just trade me a solar power helioptile and a 4 iv chansey is all yours. Timid 5 iv with HP fire or ice would be great but really it's not needed
