yeah giving it a gas mask defeats the purpose. its whole purpose is to die so it can warn the miners. also if you made it a pokemon you cant have it locked in a cage. how would it even be alive or fight anything? without the cage its just a regular bird.

Ditch IVs, keep EVs but make it a skill point system where you obtain points by defeating pokemon and you manually assign them, a rather common and basic method, but removes some of the tedium you might have with EVs.

I'm digging most of the new Pokemon so far but man, can we agree that the artwork quality has reached a new low this gen? Pikipek has to be the worst offender of this, especially compared to some of the early birds from the previous generations. Would it really hurt them that much to add talons to it's legs? To make the tufts on it's head and the chest actually look like they're made of feathers? To draw the wings with more than three feathers? I'm not asking for Rembrandt tier masterpieces here, just a little bit of effort that would seperate these...

These are all perfect except I think Kalos could be better and nothing fits Johto's aesthetic correctly. possibly Johtonites but it doesn't look pleasing right next to Hoennites which I believe has a better ring to it
