Very edgy, and better than most people can do in Flash.

I grew up with the pokemon games so I've played every game starting with rby. Some of my pokemon I've carried with me through quite a few games as soon as we were given the ability to transfer.
My younger brother has recently become very interested in pokemon. He wants to know the best way to get into the game having never been in to it before.
I tried to think of the best answer but I really don't know. The problem is that without previously owning any games you can never really "catch them all" which is sort of autistic.
How can...

Well, to be honest anon, i kind of think XY & ORAS might be a good starting point if he's more interested in catching, since you still get EXP when catching so he won't be underleveled for gyms and such, plus all the other features might get him to like it as well, plus you might wanna play along with him with a second system and tell him about things like Shinies and legendaries.
>>26892862
Just show him Showdown. Every other game is for autists only.
>>26892862
honestly i think oras would be best

has anyone by any chance saved it or ahs a link to it
>>26892647
Never saw that threat, but I did do a playthrough of Platinum over a year ago where I named my entire team after stand names.
Your picture evokes memories.

I was wondering how long it would be till someone made this thread.
It happens every time someone buys an ad.
After an ill-fated attempt to get this answer in other threads, I decided to try a more direct approach.
I'm looking for the mainline Pokemon game (meaning no Snap, or other fun stuff) that will keep an average person entertained for the longest amount of time.
Assume no Pokemon games have been played before (meaning even really old content is considered fresh content) and that there are no system limitations.
Things to consider:
>amount of Pokemon that can be captured
>duration and quality...

Oh an another thing to put under considerations:
>region quantity/quality
>>26892521
most likely B2/W2
>>26892554
Why? Based on the few, mostly shitposting-filled answers I've gotten so far ORAS has the most sheer amount of Pokemon worth capturing, only rivaled by XY.
Is X/Y being way too easy a meme?
Also.. is the game ACTUALLY fucking scaled around having EXP share turned on?
I'm playing through it for the first time ever, turned off EXP share based on what you guys said and I'm slowly falling behind in levels. At the 3rd gym leader and my pokemon appear to be 3-4 levels below most trainers.
Going back to what I said first, the amount of high ATK stat dark, fighting, and rock pokemon stabbing the fuck out of my team every route is seriously unlike any game prior. Where are the bugs and birds and plants for...

>Is X a meme?
I'm tired of this meme.
Oh, and plus, the game is easy, with or without the exp share or set mode.
The problem is it makes the game a cake walk for people who go out of their way to search for new pokemon or fight every trainer.
The EXP share is obviously OP. Everyone knows this. However turning it off does not solve the problems of trainers having bad pokemon (yes Gamefreak apologists I know other games have this issue too)
It comes to a point where to have a game that isn't a complete cakewalk you have to avoid using a lot of the gimmicks like supertraining, o-powers, or the exp share. Even things like the mega lucario you are given.
Compared to...

thank you for the detailed reply
but like I mentioned the amount of hard hitting physical rock/fighting attacks on pokemon with good stats has been devastating without abusing those gimmicks. without them this game would actually be pretty hard in my opinion desu
What are some good completed Pokémon hacks for gameboy emulators? I've played snakewood, flora sky, the dark rising series, and a bunch of smaller or quicker ones. I'm currently waiting on dark rising 3 and the dark rising: when world's collide beta, as well as Pokémon prism. As long as the hack is completed, I'll try it out
Cuckold Emerald
Did you seriously enjoy the glitchy piece of fuck that is Dark Rising, with the E4's 800 BST legends and shit ?
>>26892411
Yes, I enjoyed it thoroughly. In fact, I just finished order destroyed this morning. It had a great storyline and wasn't just "8 badges, elite four, done". You had to battle tactically a lot of the time too, giving it a bit of an enjoyable challenge. Where you got glitches from however, I'm not sure. I guess using ghost mode would glitch it out
