It's honestly hard to believe that these aren't from another franchise.
I mean, "they don't even look like pokémon anymore" has been thrown around lightly for a long time but this in this case it's easy to see why someone would say that.
I'm honestly disappointed after the perfection that was Xerneas and Yveltal.
On the other hand, the box legends don't matter much if the game itself is fun. XY was shit even though it god tier designs.

We know it's tied to the starters, but there's no way it's a 4th starter. So what if Rockruff evolves depending on what starter you chose? For example, if you chose Rowlet, it would evolve into a Rock/Grass type. We know something like this can be done as Pancham only evolves if there's a dark type in the team.
It's a regular pokemon you encounter early in your game. There is nothing special about him, he is not tied to the starters or anything like that.

Playing this for the first time. At first I didn't understand the hate; just turned off exp share and was having a good time. But now after the fairy gym I'm thinking of dropping it. The game is just boring.
