There's one under stalker_vision_danger or something like that. That's the section for enemies in combat. I think it says in the file that values over 1 will make them blind. That's a good place to start from.

How's it going, werejew? You mentioned you had some real-life stuff to get done before you could start working on firearmstew again, so I hope everything's good out there.

I thought I should report some little things that I didn't find on weapon_sheet while I'm here. The Hi-Power's tactical reload animation is complete bollocks as you can see in the picture, while the normal reload animation seems to be fine. Something seems off with its texture as well.
The PB Makarov's suppressor seems to be nonexistent in the files, as when I tried to open a stash I got a stack trace: that said something along the lines of 'could not open file sil_6p9'.
The AK-9's icon is that of an AK-105, I noticed.
The G3's world model is tiny, just like AO3's G3 world model. I'll upload a pic if you want.

Not on Stalker and higher difficulty you're not. Spawn levels in the cave are tied to difficulty along with a bunch of other shit all over the game. If you get stuck, you can do to rookie and murder shit. The grenades you get work great on Stalker difficulty, just chuck them down that final tunnel.

I edited the files to use Alundaio's settings and it works a lot better now imo, I haven't felt cheated in a long long time. REMOVE FOG and you're set. The zombies are still bullshit though, hitting you from a fucking kilometer away.

Because of how outdated stalker ballistics are, there's no fucking way to even highlight the differences between them without engine editing. The game ends up flooded with cartridges that are pretty much fucking copies of each other, and simply makes it more tedious to fucking edit everything.

The class thing isn't quite as wonky as one would expect, but some people also just like being pidgeon-holed a bit instead of being a do-everything superman.

IIRC Sniper most closely matches vanilla CoP player stats if you want something more "pure", and has modest affinity for standard assault rifles, so you aren't limited to playing the whole game from 200 yards out.

The hpsa is using wrong animations then, I'll get that fixed. The pb I think I encountered myself, should be fixed in my current playthrough (I'll probably try to zip up my current gamedata directory and upload it tonight).

ak-9 uses the same model as the ak105 for now until I can make a shorter 20 round mag for everything.

Still gotta get the g3 and g3a3 corrected with world models, thats been a complaint I've heard about AO3 that people wanted me to fix.

Finished the first mission in SoC to kill the bandits at the car park but I think one of the Loners is bugged. He stayed there after the mission and he's ben repearting "Wolf factory cleared, returning to starting position" for the past hour every 5 or so minutes. The mission also is still marked on map.

Restarting will reset the AI for that guy and he'll return to where he's supposed to be.

That quest marker never resets, it's a bug in vanilla. Install ZRP, it fixes this and a million other vanilla bugs.

Stalker uses vertical fov, unlike most of your other games, your 85 vertical fov is about 117 horizontal here and gives you a bit of fisheye. 75 vertical is about 107 horizontal and doesn't distort as much.

Weapon mod tend to assume 75 or lower in how they position the weapon

Did you talk to Nimble, Wolf and Sid after clearing the park? Petruha sounds bugged but the marker should def clear if you have ZRP installed correctly, I've seen the code it has to remove those after the quest complete.

I've deleted my gamedata folder and I'm gonna reinstall all the mods and start a new game see if that fixes it.
