Did anyone else feel like all the areas in Dark Souls 3 were direct parallels to areas from the first Dark Souls?
I think the following are pretty obvious:
Cemetery of Ash – Undead Asylum
High Wall of Lothric – Undead Burg
Undead Settlement – Undead Parish
Grand Archives – The Duke’s Archives
Untended Graves – Northern Undead Asylum
Smouldering Lake – Lost Izalith
Lothric Castle - Anor Londo
What others did you find, if any?
Here's the rest I was still debating, I definitely felt like these areas shared a lot in common, but I could be mixing things up.
Irithyll Dungeon – The Depths
Cathedral of the Deep – Sen’s Fortress
Catacombs of Carthus – The Catacombs
Farron Keep – Blighttown
Archdragon Peak – Painted World
Profaned Capital – Tomb of the Giants
Consumed King’s Garden – Darkroot Garden
For the record, I'm not autistic. While I enjoyed the game and subtle reflections to DS, I also found this somewhat lazy considering how linear the game turned out. DS is porbably the smaller game and yet it feels so much more open.

Farron = Darkroot

I liked those areas better the first time around. Rehashes are boring.

>Lothric Castle - Anor Londo
Anon... Anor Londo was in DS3.

This board is gay, I'm going to buy Doom at full price and disconnect my internet after its done downloading

There is a difference between a parallel and what you're talking about.
However hes wrong. Irithyll is this games Anor Londo as it serves as the "large city marking the halfway point". Not just because its literally got a chunk of Anor Londo attached to it.

You're right about Irithyll. I'm confused about Lothric Castle because it gave me Anor Londo vibes and now I don't know how to place it.

I didn't want you to think we were equals.
