I know people have brought up this complaint before, but what the hell are up with the noses? Must they really be discolored that way? I swear artist are getting lazier by the minute. Instead of crafting unique characters that emphasize certain traits they just slap on the 'tumblr' nose for a quick quirk. It's incredibly half-ass in design and immediately ruins the levity of the experience. Not to mention the in game hipster lingo which ends up making these characters sound like they're 8 by default. This game feels like it wants to appeal to everyone when in reality I see this game flopping terrible upon release.

The sprites in Earthbound are kind of shit but they're a lot more charming than the ones in Undertale, in my opinion. They especially look good in their clay model forms. I mean, it's still pretty crude but it's got a lot of personality.
It would be cool if Nintendo did an RPG with the Kirby Rainbow Curse style of model, that game looks really nice.

Yeah, Earthbounds sprite quality is wildly inconsistent. Makes me wonder if it's because of the different people doing the sprites, or if they got better/worse over the development period.
Mother 3 is one of the absolute best looking GBA games, Browniebrown does a lot of incredible pixel art. Mother 3s enemy sprites are honestly some of the best in gaming as a whole, there aren't many RPGs with a similar cartoony style that can match the quality of those.
