Vidya feels thread
>you will never play Gears of War 1 in its heyday ever again
>you will never again kung fu flip out of the map and grief people over and over and meet people online before xbox party chat became a thing
>You will never play CoD1 or 2 when tons of people were online again
>You will never take down another Titan in BF2142 again
I know this is going to get hate, but
>You'll never play a Minecraft server woth your friends again, exploring the world and building stuff in community.
>You'll never go back to the era where Minecraft let's plays didn't even exist.
>You'll never go back to having shittons of fun blowing shit up with Tnt structures.
I still miss those days.
It's been more than 5 years since then.It feels like it was yesterday. Everything passes too quickly. There's nothing we can do about it, anon. I wishI could go back and live at that age forever.

>tfw White collar wageslave.
>Never have enough time to play vidya
>Finally get some time to play.
>Play game 2 maybe 3 hours.
>Get bored and feel emptiness inside.

>you will never be as excited as when you were watching halo 2 announcement during e3
>/v/ now has nostalgia for conveniently chest high walls brown and bloom 3rd person shooter game
>>337368197
party chat killed console gaming. imagine, the next generation of kids will grow up not knowing how to talk shit. just cringe inducing.
>>337369469
Next generations are lost.
Just think that they'll be playin Battlefield 34 at the time we thought the Game boy advance was the shit. And they'll be using fucking voicechat and talking like spoiled bratsalso, half of them will have a youtube channel.

The people having nostalgia for it now were children when this place was shitting all over it.

You will never playUltima Onlinefrom its inception to its T/F split ever again.Or for that matter, FFXI or EQ, although the grind was real and unnecessary in retrospect.
>You will never go back in time and stop yourself from getting addicted to Vidya as a kid
>>337369256
You are still a regular person. You can talk with you coworkers, anon. Meet people. Have a normal life. Even have a family if you want.
Trust me, you are better than them. You are better than me
I know the trailer spoiled it but it still kind of hurt

At least it's only sad at the beggining.

I don't even know what i expected.

>you will never experience The Orange Box on launch ever again.
>you will never boot up L4D on launch ever again.
>>337369452
I dont pretend that it was a master piece, I just miss the community. You wouldn't expect it but gow1 had one of the most accepting and fun communities ive ever encountered. I regularly made friends in random matches.
>>337370353
the fucking music that plays during that scene was enough to make me sad

Fairly accurate, although I do remember having hope for the future in thinking they'd improve upon the formula.
Wow was I wrong.
