Got into a heated discussion with a friend today on Bastion being OP.
I was the one saying out of all the characters he's probably the least fair, or the most broken, his turret mode making him fucking impenetrable, unless you go around the whole map and end up behind him.
Not that I have a gripe with him or anything, I don't oftenly die to him but when I play as him I put minimum effort in and I do amazingly.
I just feel like he should have a long start up to the mini gun or he turns around a lot slower.
My friend told me I could call any character OP as long as the player is good but that's the thing about Bastion, he doesn't require you to be good, I was gonna tell that to my friend but I just kept my mouth shut because its his favourite character and I'd be insulting him.

When I played Bastion at the last stress-test, I was really fucking surprised at how quickly you could do ANYTHING in his kit.
Healing ability? No cooldown, start and stop it whenever you want, it's just half a second to switch it on and off.
Turret mode? Sure, if you don't die in the next second or so get ready to wreck some scrubs.
Ult? Pretty much unkillable save for another ult.
People were saying he's the Heavy Weapons Guy of OW or something, but Heavy at least feels strategic and stuff - his Sandvich always takes a certain amount of time to eat, you have to play around that cooldown/healthkits, not even the Brass Beast does as much relative damage, and Heavy has a large mobility nerf.
Bastion seemed much better designed with the earlier turret mode design, where he didn't have access to see everywhere.

McCree is fun. Shame that he might get a big nerf which will make him completely useless in any real play. By far has the hardest ultimate as an offensive charactwe to use well due to the loud yell and obnoxious glow. Are the maps on console smaller than on PC? knew you'd go to this. RTS is different, matches are much longer and it's 1v1. There are also times in RTS where you get so far behind it's practically impossible to win, the only polite thing to do is gg and quit.
None of this is the case in overwatch. You can win with 10 seconds left on the clock, I've seen it happen multiple times. You have 5 other teammates that depend on you. The only time it would be acceptable to quit, and this applies to team rts as well, is if the whole team voted to surrender.

I don't quite and when I'm in those scenarios, and yeah, I lose 90% of the time, but every once in a while I pull the upset, and that's worth it. I'm a better player because of it.
