ITT: Things in the WarCraft 3 campaign (RoC + TFT) that don’t make any sense.
Common /v/ bros. Don't disappoint!
I’ll start:
Orcs:
>The mighty Grom Hellscream gets captured like a bitch
>Humans keep him as prisoner and not executing him on the spot. Nevermind that the internment camp system failed years ago and orcs and humans are openly fighting again in Lordaeron.
>stationing a significant number of troops to guard the cage of one guy
>At the end of the mission there are ships next to the internment camp, along with open access to the ocean and ultimately – Kalimdor.
>The loading screen map clearly shows Thrall’s route going inland.
>The entire Orcish horde sets sail to Kalimdor on like 3 ships
>Lose a few ships to storms.
>Lose a few men along the way to murlocs, quilboars, centaurs
>Fighting the humans twice. Then split off.
>Go on winning against an immortal race after drinking that demonic Gatorade
>Then fight among each other a little bit and then make up
>Then fight the night elves and undead some more
>Still have the numbers and strength to stand up to the Burning legion in the end

Humans:
>Both Terenas and Antonidas don’t recognize Medivh, call him a madman and tell hit to fuck off, despite Medivh doing wizard shit in front of everyone (transforming from a crow) and having the clear appearance of a wizard. They don’t even listen him out.
>not revealing his true identity right then and there and afterwards explaining in detail the gravity of the situation
>instead goes like: “I bring tidings of dooooom! Go flee to Kalimdor just because I said so!”
>he just HAD to wait until the end of the storyline to do that
>Arthas not retreating from Stratholme to regroup together with Uther and Jaina, so that they may return with a fuckhuge army and deal with the undead however they see fit. Those people in Stratholme were infected and doomed anyway.
>Northrend: ”Burn down the ship to their frames! No one goes back home!” – Yells that shit while standing in the middle of his fucking base, within earshot of his men.
>final mission: “You lied to your men and betrayed the mercenaries that fought for you!” – in the middle of the base, while his remaining men are all present.
>Shiggy Diggy

Anon, you're just gonna get arguments here.

Undead:
>Arthas is weak as a bitch in the beginning
>Spend 2 missions wrecking the high elves’ lands and murdering everyone in your path
>third mission – Silvermoon still has no clue what’s going on in the kingdom at this point and needs to be notified by a runner sent by Sylvanas
>not sending your kingdom’s entire fucking army at the gates after the first attack, or calling everyone back to Silvermoon to fortify and make a stand
>Jaina flees Loraderon after finally taking Medivh’s advice.
>Antonidas stays behind, knowing fully well what happened everywhere and decides to make a stand.
>Not taking the book of Medivh with him, along with any Dalaran valuable items, and fleeing with her as well.
>The magical capital of the world hardly used any magic against you. The anti-undead aura was laughable.
>you spend the entire mission killing them off gradually like bitches and ultimately slaying their leader
>the fucking head of the Kirin Tor hardly poses any threat to your army
>lol k, that was fairly easy
>final mission: after being defeated (assuming they gathered their entire army to defend Dalaran and Antonidas), they somehow manage to come out with a fuckhuge army that mercilessly assaults YOU non-stop and almost manage to crush you in the very last minute.

Night Elf:
>go free Ilidan
>approach his cage
>his breaks out of it all by himself
>And we discover that Illidan was fully armed during the whole time!
>Oho-ho-hooooo! :^D
>After freeing Grom and now Illidan, apparently they let you keep your weapons in jail in this game.
>meanwhile everyone keeps fighting each other while the Legion fucks shit up all around
>everyone is tired of fighting, their numbers diminish over time
>final mission comes around
>instead of banding together in one area, everyone spreads out in 3 sequential bases along the main path
>Thrall sits idly in his base with all of his forces, completely uninvolved in the battle, while the undead fuck up Jaina’s base.
>We lost a base to Archimonde.
>NOW he joins the fight.
>No Chimaeras in final mission.
>Srsly, wtf?!?
>Archimonde dies to a swarm of UFOs

Thanks for the autism dump anon, very nicely formatted.

>guarding one guy's cage
Guy was important. Humans were probably going to draw & quarter him or some shit.
>like 3 ships
Representation of a larger fleet.
>too much fighting
Same with the ships- gameplay doesn't always match the narrative.
>Medivh
He was killed a long time ago, concealed his face (likely dressed VERY differently) and may have even magick'd their recognition.
He did not part with them on nice terms- he was killed after going insane and almost handing them over the the legion iirc.
>They didn't even hear him out
Nigga they have rules about royal audiences, and you expect archmagi to be impressed by some hedgewizard parlor tricks?
>stratholme
And risk the plague spreading further? It was likely easier to slaughter the peasants before they turned. (and again, representations & gameplay vs narrative as far as the Zs you did fight go)
>within earshot
Representation vs narrative. It isn't as scrunched as it looks in-game.
What is your opinion of the bonus, Daelin did nothing wrong, campaign.
