Mindflayers hit like a truck and their casting wouldn't stop. Either you had the damage or you didn't. A complete nightmare.
These jailers are easy. You knock them, bait them, long animation for his attack. It only has one gimmick to his advantage that a simple corner, in a level full of them, can beat.

Winter Lanterns are the worst, not only do they have a grab like the Mindflayers but they also proc Frenzy which is infinitely more dangerous than the health reduction the jailers do because without sedatives it is pretty much guaranteed to proc and can kill you from a distance which the jailers can't.

You do. Fighting Aldritch is all about keeping yourself close and on the offensive. Play on the defensive and you'll lose everytime. If you let the fight go on so much to the point where those arrows take so much to go away, might as well restart.
The fact those arrows become harder and harder as time passes, is a hint that you shouldn't prolong the fight. Just go and whack him as fast as you can, and he'll immediately teleport. Just repeat and you'll win in no time, he always respawn at the farthest corner form you.

He always spawns at the other side of the room, you need to start running there when he teleports. When you get there early enough he'll almost never shoot his bow or his other ranged options. You can 2 cycle him if you convince him to do melee attacks for long enough, especially if you have a fire resin. It's basically a matter of not getting greedy and going for too many hits when he starts teleporting, since that will leave you vulnerable to ranged when he spawns next.

I-I was expecting him to do the six billion projectiles again. Really though. He can vary his attacks up pretty well. On the last playthrough when I got to phase 2 he never varied his attacks like that and I expected him to just use the same attack 1-3 times in a row like in phase 1. I also heard this guy has a second moveset for when you break his legs but again, died too fast for me to see it

I fucking love the sound design in this game, anyone else noticed how good it is? The jangling chains and creaking floorboards of Undead Settlement were great, but these jailers are a favourite.

Nope, on PS4 Ive seen maybe a handful of hosts with more than one phantom.

On PC every single invasion it's a 3v1 or 4v1, also the level ranges are fucked because PCucks grind out the ass and level beyond the area range because they cant deal without their stat crutch.

Also see much less dark sword/estoc/whatever some youtuber said was op on PS4, whereas on PC thats all you see.

There's a pretty huge discrepancy in the quality of players between PC and PS4 and looking at the majority of Souls threads here it's easy to see why PC has lower quality players.

Call it platform wars if you want but it's hard to deny.

I played with a heavy claymore on my first run and besides getting stunlocked by dogs and rats, nothing seemed like a big deal.
And that's not UGS slow but it wasn't an R1 mashing weapon either.
Half the bosses were easy as fuck and had dumb gimmicks that 1 shot them.
Really wasn't impressed after how hard vanilla BB was at the start.

Yhorm, the tree, Wolnir all were just silly "attack the weakpoint for massive dasmage" puzzles.
Deacons was a rat vanguard reskin with an easymode light to show you the right one.

Vyvern id not even a boss, just level hazzard that you one shot. Were the 20 developer messages saying "try plunge" really needed in a fucking secret optional are? What a joke.

The bosses only got decent at Lothric Castle and the end of the dragon area with Nameless King.
So far the weakest line up of bosses in a souls games besides DeS.

Nah, no way. DS3's bosses are generally pretty good, even if it has some gimmick bosses - at least the gimmicks work and aren't intrusive. Compare that to DS1 (where gimmick bosses are plain fucking awful and the rest of the bosses can be beaten by doing the exact same thing for all of them) or DS2 (where a ton of the bosses are basically regular enemies).

This. Even PvE is a drastically different experience based on your build, much more so than the previous souls games. Magic doesn't scale correctly until absurdly high levels, and a lot of weapons just don't have the stamina/AR/speed to punish bosses reliably. It's not to say they aren't viable, but the difference is night and day when you compare those factors to stuff like Straight Sword; they're a complete package, whereas other weapons have obvious shortcomings. This also explains why some players have problems with certain bosses, but have no trouble with others, and someone else has the complete opposite experience.

The Claymore may be heavily nerfed from its DaS I days, but it's still a modest weapon in its own right. It still has decent range, scaling, and speed, it just took a hit in stamina usage and moveset. I used it on my second playthrough, and had next to no issues with it as well. At least moreso than my first playthrough with the Brigand Axe, but I'd say the Claymore is somewhat a cut-off point, where any weapon worse than it starts running into some hindrances and spikes in difficulty.

Gimmicks in bosses does not mean they have to get 1 shot by the gimmick.
The storm ruler should have just worked once to brake Yhorm's armor and make him be able to take normal damage.
Just like with Seath and his crystal in DS1.

As it stands, he's not even a real boss, same for Wolnir getting 3 shot by his bracelets.

With the Tree at least it's hard to find and hit all his eggs and you can at least attack his arm, and he's earlier on so a gimmick boss is more acceptable.
But equipping a sword and pressing left trigger, right trigger 5 times? What is this CoD?

It's because there are more enemies this time around with huge range on their attacks. The chainaxe wielders (and snakemen in general) in the peak can hit you from miles away so they will go for those hits even if you're behind a wall.

He won't fire his arrows if you're within melee range. Put some headphones on and run to the middle of the room whenever he sinks into the ooze, you'll hear him teleport back in a second or two before he actually pops back up. Makes all the difference. No, Shrine of Almana was way harder at launch.
Lightning spears were just OP since every copy of the spell gave you 10.
They now give you 3 so you need a ton of atunement to have 30 of them like some did at launch.
