Aldritch, because fucking Aldritch. (Is there any way to reliably dodge the following arrows?)
Dancer, because of that instant kill grab with almost no wind-up. (second phase is SO MUCH easier)
Nameless King, because by the time you get to the second phase, which isn't all that bad, you're already a nervous wreck and mistake prone.
Strangely enough, I probably died to Iudex more than Champion Gundyr, simply due to intimidation factor when I first started playing.

It's not a timer. They will start to summon a giant curse cloud, which will kill you if left unchecked. If you kill the ones that are summoning it, the spell breaks.

I don't blame you. I had this problem on my pyromancer run through where I had like zero health because everything went into Int, Fth, and Att. Every time I tried to attack the real sage during the second phase I would get raped and insta-killed by a bunch of soul spears. There was blue all over the arena and getting hit by anything was pretty much death. It was trivial as a quality build on the other hand.
I also died to the tree once because he never pulled out the arm and was invincible.
I died to every boss in the game excluding Iudex, Crystal Sage and Ocerios for more than 3 times, notably to Pontiff and Luthric bros more than 20 times to each one, atm going for Nameless before venturing to NG+. It's just hard to find safe openings with my Profaned Greatsword, even when I stagger bosses it just backfires on me when I deplete my stamina hoping for a visceral that doesn't exist. (Though I do love my GS on King of the Storm, obliterates it in visceral+7 attacks)

I'm trying to do the Dancer at level 30 with a +4 Falchion and Christ it's irritating. It really highlights to me the two big problems with DS3; every enemy has huge sweeping attacks and massive chases before them and infinite stamina bars, but way too little health on bosses. Fights usually end in a minute or two.

Dancer is easy as shot if you have +6 weapon. Poke her a lot in first phase. Roll right when she tries to grab. In second roll away (in straight line stupid) when she does her main attack. Her other 2nd phase attacks are usually pretty easy to spot (jumping then spin attack behind etc..)

Farron Greatsword sure as hell isn't excellent in any category, but it's fine enough for PvE, situationally. I knew I wanted to use it so I got it asap, and it was my "main" weapon, I guess, slot 1 and all that, but there's no way I was going to get through the game happily with just that, so I kept some heavy drang hammers and a refined lothric knight spear on me as well for versatility.
Against crowds of trash mobs, Farron's is pretty good, and I actually found it useful against some bosses when I got the spacing and timing of the spinning just right and could duck under their swings and basically strafe and attack at the same time. Your survivability with the weapon is directly proportional to how many times you actually press L1. In the entire game I did not find one single situation in which the third hit accomplished anything.
Nameless King specifically though, the first phase is piss easy with a spear. I just unlock whenever the camera starts facing away from the bird. Just stab him in the eye at your leisure, all of the King's attacks are pretty telegraphed and easy to dodge, and the bird basically doesn't do anything but give you free hits. Nameless King was the hardest fight in the game for me but clearing the first phase without taking any damage was pretty common.
I pirated the game because my laptop "cant" run it so why bother purchasing it
I found after 5 tries that by turning everything to the lowest level, downscaling to 800x600, playing on windowed mode, killing exxplorer and most other tasks, customizing some shit on my GT650M and and CPU for performance I can run it at 30 FPS sometimes drops to 20FPS
Already killed the crystal sage and im going for the stray demon now only downside is that everything I die I have to endure 5 to 7 minutes of 10 FPS until everything loadas again I suposse

Dancer is a chokepoint through the game, like Sen's Fortress was. It's quite possible you've done all you can do besides killing her.
You get the ability to just buy titanite as you progress, and regular titanite and large titanite get thrown around in abundance as you progress past when you'd normally use them. Just gotta be a little more discerning with those chunks, unless you want to grind.

It feels really good to actually fight the boss like a normal person and hit them during openings and dodge dangerous attacks and all that, but occasionally get parries off in a pinch. That's how my fight against Champion went until I had to back down and just accept full and total reliance on my shield and the circle button in his second phase. But when it works, it's fantastic.

To get Chameleon, you have to do Anri's questline. You can get it as soon as she shows up at the Church of Yorshka. There will bea Londor pilgrim in the corner Chameleoned as a statue; you can kill her and get the spell right then, or you can continue Anri's questline and get it later.

How does this game compare to Dark Souls 2? I dropped that piece of shit halfway through because every enemy was made to combo you to death and rolling/parrying was slow as fuck.

I'm pretty sure that's wrong. The parry timing should always be the same provided it's the same shield you're using. What differs is the active frames of their attack, you just need them to coincide. You'll pick that up anyway if you manage to dodge them.

Rolling is very fast, and it takes like 70-75% of your equip burden to lose your fast roll.
Enemies can have some ridiculously long combos, but it varies.

A shield, even a light one, does a lot against dancer. She also takes a rest after like every move and just walks about for a couple seconds, she won't counter you that fast. You can easily hit her once with something fast like the butcher's knife and then avoid her counter.

Rolling, parrying, healing, etc. is all faster here, but enemies are also faster, more powerful, and output a lot of damage and have long combos. They sped up the whole game, but it's disproportionate, you're not quite as agile as you perhaps ought to be.

The beginning of DS3 is just all enemies with neverending combos. After that it gets a little better untilIrithyll.
Despite this, I think it's the best souls game. The combat is way better and weapon skills are a blast. PvP is great so far and PvE-wise it has some of the best bosses in any souls game.

Darksouls 2 is perhaps the most different of the series, but the enemies comboing you to death and the rolling being "slow" have nothing to do with it. Enemies will still have combos in DS3, and some even open up with a guard break so they can REALLY lay it into you.
Nameless King took me twenty tries. I beat every other boss in no more than 2 but with my Black Knight Greataxe I hardly had a second to get attacks in. I also didn't really have enough stamina to utilize a greatshield.
I looked up a guide to figure out Yhorm's gimmick.
Storm King, Nameless King and Dragonslayer Armor made me rage quit.

I totally ruined that fight for myself, it was the most anticlimactic shit ever. But man did that practice pay off, I was fucking invincible. Still have the timing down for everything up to blighttown, including rapier knights and spearmen.
I wish they'd kept the instant parries. Maybe cut the window in half, or to a third, but it just feels so good waiting until the last second and fucking slamming their shit in. I thought it was really nice how it coincided with the dodge timing, even if you didn't spent time practicing parries specifically you'd be able to pull them off well as long as you had experience fighting an enemy and knew their timings.

Seriously, that second phase arrow rain is ridiculous. It lasts forever and kills you in under a second, all you can do is panic roll in a circle. What's worse is that he will begin another attack while the arrow rain is still going on, so you have to pray that he doesn't use soul spear or lifehunt, or else you're double fucked.
