How do we fix Nintendo? How do we turn them into a proper videogame company?

>We
We can't do shit.

Nintendo however can take a few harsh truths and go to work on them.

>You've been let down by third parties for 4 gens in a row, stop banking on them to fill out your release schedule. If the third parties come, great. If they don't, who cares? You should have a game every 3 weeks for the platform you will inevitably be supporting on your own
>Kids make up a tiny market share, even less now with mobile. Stop banking on them. You have a diverse range of fans, and I'm pretty sure even your own research shows your biggest market is 21+, not 4-11
>Stop banking on nostalgia. The people who have nostalgia for your glory days are now in their 40s, they likely don't have much time for vidya. You shouldn't rely on it.
>Accept that you're not the same company you were in the 90s. Change and accept that vidya has moved on without you. For every collectathon based platformer you put out on one of your platforms, your fans collectively sigh because you're contributing to 50%+ of your library being platformer games. Enjoy a little diversity.

First and foremost, they need to invest in better hardware and much more frequent marketing to even compare to other companies. They need to shift their consoles' direction, both handheld and home.

At the bare minimum, the hardware of successor to the 3DS should have:
>Atom Cherry Trail x5-Z8500 Processor
>capable of 1080p display
>customization without purchase
>no XL bullshit, only New bullshit
>drop backwards-compatible for 3DS titles, re-release them as upgraded, HD titles at the very most
>capacitive-touchscreen

You can't fix an oldblood Japanese company if you don't work for it.

You may help them sign their checks, but you're nothing more than a small bank to them.

Oh yeah, screenshotting would also be nice. Maybe convene with social media outlets like Facebook or Youtube or even tumblr for normies to lean towards it.
>>
>>334493148
you can already do that, though
>>
>>334490746
I would argue they're the only "proper" videogame company out of the big three, as Microsoft and Sony are gigantic tech conglomerates with their hands in movies, computers, and non-game-related hardware.
>>
>>334493531
It's literally the most watered down version of the screenshot. Limitations to when and what games you can screenshot makes it really awful.
>>
Name another "proper" video game company.
>>
>>334493597
The fact of the matter is that a company dedicated to vidya is more underwhelming than a company with only a faction dedicated to gaming.

The already make more exclusives than sony and microsoft combined

Quit making consoles.
Why does anyone still want Nintendo consoles?
Everyone complains about huge gaps in major game releases and gimmicks they use. So just fucking make games for PS4, Xbox and PC. There games would sell far more on multiple platforms too.
>>
Quite honestly, videogames will never reach the peak of Nintendo's 1990-2004 era or Sony's first two consoles. They had great games, cutting-edge features at the time and overall great marketing.

>>334494295
That wouldn't be a good decision...at all. They'd be better off making their gimmicks look more like features or better yet, improving upon previous features.
>>
>>334494551

Why is it a bad decision? Where do they make there money? Off of software. Why not go third party and make all the money in the world on multiple platforms? Saving money on manufacturing consoles and invest more money into more teams to make more fucking games! Which is what we all want.
>>
>>334494852
Making more games doesn't equate to make more quality games. It would take hiring good teams and developers to make actual good games.

>Proper

>Video game company

They are more proper than Sony and Microsoft already by being a video game company only

Also actually supporting their consoles with their own games other than letting 3rd parties do everything

Unless your talking about hardware, which has nothing to do with them being a video game company
