The day I wanted to start recording my computer fucked up and the one I'm on until at least the 15th can't really record. Luckily I've got a new power supply and some canned air coming in the mail by around that time. Then, probably going to get started on a Let's Play of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, among other things.
Now that I think about it I might want to do reviews of PC games and movies as well, but I'm not sure if I'm qualified to do critique given that my opinions are generally unpopular or conservative in nature. I'll probably just stick to Let's Plays of games that I'm familiar with or have beaten once or twice before.

Since you asked I'll share, but I try not to advertise a whole lot. Also I don't do the facecam either if that helps, I do commentary but I'm not into the facecam thing. It takes up a bit of the screen and all it does is get in the way. I'd rather my voice be annoying than seeing me and my voice being annoying all together also.

Well, I enjoy most games, but I like analyzing games that are overlooked for one reason or another.
El Shaddai is an example of a game I've always wanted to do an in depth review for. The game was passed on as being "mediocre, but with good art" but there's so much thought put into the art and style of storytelling that I'm sure most people missed. Not that it was "too deep" for people, but just that they weren't really looking at some of the subtleties of it.
But game preference aside, I also work a normal job a lot.

Thumbnails could look a little cleaner. The one for L.I.F.E. is stretched, and the one for Stray Cat Crossing #2 has the titling cropped off at the top. Stray Cat Crossing #4's titling also seems to melt into the background. Give it a border to make it stand out. It also helps to standardize the font you use for each series - Runescape UF for one, Helvetica Bold Italic for another, etc.

Unless it's getting a stream of views, it wouldn't really matter much either way. I'm getting between 25000-30000 views every 48 hours and it gives me roughly 10-15 dollars a day, depending on cpm fluctuations. I imagine revenue would be worse for a lyric video, since the song would be only 3-5 minute long and youtube factors in length of the video into cpm and ad distribution.
I dunno if it's illegal or not, but the worse youtube would do is give your an account a strike and remove the video.

It can help, sure, but one thing I'd recommend is to make variations of tags. Say with niglips "Stray Cat" videos. Some easy ones right off the top of my head would be.

Notice the variation on "let's". People are prone to typing errors when it's in a trivial setting, so think about this.

Here's a few more. You only get 500 characters to work with for your tags, so it's okay to throw in a single word like "straycatcrossing", but something like putting three separate tags like "stray", "cat", and "crossing" is unnecessary.

well an AKG perception 220 will run you 129 off eBay not sure about amazon haven't checked (and that's in AU), it's a large diaphragm condenser mic, it's actually what I use myself, but because they're discontinued you'll get entry level studio quality and it's cheap, you'll need and XLR cable, cheap as fuck and a analogue to digital converter, i recommend a Focusrite 2i2 or the model below for the brilliant monitoring and affordable price. that'll leave you with money left over, you'll also want a stand.

Friends and I decided to start livestreaming on twitch this next weekend, we also would like to start putting all the funny moments into one not so long video and start posting them to youtube, we are having ideas at the moment, we recorded ourself playing Broforce and honestly it was a lot of fun. It will be difficult cause we really want to show all different points of view on our videos for youtube(when it comes to other games).
