Yeah, I've been busy with life so I don't have as much time to autistically grind like I did back in high school. The only reason why vscape sounds nice is because of the 2.25x rates.
Another problem is catching up. Starting as a lowbie is nice and all, but when I see all these accounts on /rs07g/ from /vg/ with 1500+ total level, it seems almost impossible to catch up with anyone.
As far as I'm concerned, there's new content on OSRS that I otherwise not be familiar with, such as the new continent and new bosses. How difficult would it be to study them if I only know the old Runescape from 2007?

/v/scape is fine. It does a good job of implementing content from runescape. The infinite run outside the wild and the 2.25x rate makes your levels go by a lot quicker.
People just seem to have a hardon to watch it fail even though it's been going for 2 years now, they even have an event going for it.

Fuck... I really don't know what server to join. Which one do you personally go on and WHY? My ultimate end-goals are to get all skills to 70, get a quest cape, and a 99 in at least two skills that I enjoy leveling.

Runescape's super simple music and graphics are just so perfect to me for some reason. Like all together it just looks really good, I was way more immersed in RS than anything else.
Recently I went back to play on Darkscape, which is 2007's combat with all the new members content and stuff for free. It was pretty fun fighting back against troublemakers and forming uneasy alliances with people, even teaming up to do quests together so we wouldn't get killed and lose all the shit we spent such a long time collecting.
But man running around Karamja was a bitch. It's like rape island and just getting the bananna rum took me 15 lives. Even if you can get past all the pkers everything on the west side of the island is high level and poisonous.

I like that voting is ignored by the mods, they do what they feel is best for the server, they spend time in the wayback machine figuring out how things were back in 2007.
The infinite run makes the world feel smaller and more manageable.
The amount of trust on the server is unreal too, the scam were "give me your items and I'll craft them for you" isn't a scam, it's a common practice.
The dev team implements all quest from scratch too. Content isn't added in half cocked, if you need to get that item from a 3 quest questline, that whole line will get in.

Play it. If you loved it and spent a lot of time on it back then, it hasn't left. It's an amazing game and the sense of achievement and wonder/immersion is still fucking incredible. It never leaves, the game is still amazing and i'd recommend it to anyone.
