I guess I'll post my levels for now. I just uploaded my newest level for my campaign. This level is a little weird because the idea is that you enter a computer via pipe and enter a corrupted 1-1 stage. It's sort of emulating cartridge tilting but is still designed like the other levels. Let me know what you think of the idea or if it just feels like a bunch of random shit with no cohesive structure.

Yeah I know.I had trouble with it myself and everyone who has played it.The reason I made it like that was because the Goombas wouldn't spawn immediately and you had plenty of time to get through,so I had to choose between an easy obstacle or a hard one.I choose hard because it was the last segment of the stage.It is possible however to get by as Big Mario.Anyway thanks for playing!

Mecha Bowser castle was just annoying

>couple koopas are close to the edge of platforms and off-screen, making unfair damage highly likely on first play
>bowser fight has you sat waiting, only occasionally having to avoid a homing bullet bill

I didn't bother clearing it

Springloaded W.Goomba Airship is much better designed by comparison, but also pretty straightforward both to beat and from a design perspective (little stands out about it, fairly standard level). I still starred it anyway.

Thanks for the criticism.I knew adding the lakitu was a bad idea but I still wanted to do it because I felt the level was too easy,but now I regret it.
If I could change one thing it would be to remove him.
The Bowser fight was made like that because I wanted a fight in the style of SMB3 last fight,but in the actual SMB3 style it was too slow .So I changed it to NSMB and added a bullet bill and a muncher to not only prevent Mario from standing on him and give me the exuse to name the stage like that but to limit how high he can jump in the early phase.

Speedy Skies was too frustrating - the lakitu at the start can often throw undodgeable spineys, and fuck if I can figure out how to do the chainchomp part - you really threw the player in the deep end with that one.

In that case I think you need to shift your focus in your level designs, I've tried a few and they all seem to have the same fundamental problem (though some much more obvious than most) - it feels like you're designing levels with the intent of challenging already skilled players instead of ones the average player could ever enjoy. You rarely telegraph future obstacles in your levels unlike mario games typically do, the result can feel like a sloppy mess of ideas, difficult to keep up with unless you essentially memorize the layout. Maybe it's just because I'm a scrub but that's how I feel

Could be a matter of taste as well. Some levels others find extremely difficult, but I find to be rather okay. Vice versa has also been the case.

That said I always take what others say into consideration. I find that my style is starting to change with time naturally. So you may just influence the next batch of levels.

Played Locked Door of the Sky Fortress. Stages with progressing difficulty are the way to go, good job. At first I didn't like the central hub area before the first checkpoint, but now that I think of it, it works well. I starred it. Gonna try to fix my time on it.

By the way, best way to do the chain chomp area is to quickly jump to the right and stand off to the side in each section, jumping over each one as they come towards you. Easy mode is having the leaf and obsessively hitting B. Not that you'll play it again but I figured I'd tell you the secret behind it.

Expert isn't too bad now. Super Expert is ridiculous though. I was skipping after every death and made it to 80 lives while on the first stage. Might as well leave and restart.
