The needles release the dragin underneath the island, and the dragon's heart is filled with the heart of the person who pulls the needles.
The Magypsies are a race who exist to protect the needles.
The needles are a way to further the main conflict and foreshadow the true nature of the Masked Man.

Everything is a step down. Was really dissapointed playing it after hearing all the praise.

While the writing was good the story was uninspired and dragged on for unnecessary reasons.
Only things which were good were Ropesnake, every moment with the mother and Komatura's character design.

A plot point of lost potential. The egg of light held the tazmily citizen's memories from their previous life and was a way to access them. Duster rembered who he was as he stored his memories in it in chapter 2. Why it is wanted by Porky is really a mystery, I don't know what he could've done with it he could do anyway
