And in case someone's once again new to this PC gaming stuff: Use a program like DaemonTools Lite to mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack.
In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.
here's the recommended emulator settings for SH1. Works great on all other games too.
The plugins used are:
-Pete's OpenGL 1.78; (more options & better performance than 2.x version)
-Eternal's SPU Engine.
Alternatively just use a software renderer for very 1:1 PS1-like graphics, including 240p only.
...OR just buy the game from PSN Store for few bucks.

Hoping someone could give me some help with something.
I installed SH3 and the FOV mod, have everything set up, except I cannot figure out how to alter my resolution to 1680x1050. You are supposed to edit the disp.ini in the savedata folder, but there is no disp.ini for me. What gives?

I did, also saved the SH3Config in the install directory. Nothing seems to get a disp.ini file created, even though the settings do save.

I played every SH before I played the original, and I actually found it to be the second scariest behind 3. Not even nostalgia goggles, I played it less than a year ago. I found it very scary. Maybe not jump scare galore like Amnesia, but I felt genuinely unsettled and uncomfortable the whole time I played it.

If all else fails, just try creating your own disp.ini file using any text editor. Mine has following lines in it (change the res to match yours):

I started the SH3 torrent a couple days ago after you posted it.
Then i deleted it since you're the only seeder and you didn't upload it for over 20 hours.
Your intentions might be good, but don't post that link if you don't intend to have it uploading 24/7.

Sorry my friend, I am not the original creator of these links, I just try to pass them around like a few other anons on here. I did not download the torrent myself, I used the direct download link which I recommend you use too. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I wasn't aware there was only 1 seeder. Either way, the direct download works very well and very quickly, so I recommend it.

I've kept my seeds on and upload uncapped for the past few days for every other passing moments except when I'm sleeping.

I hope you enjoy it my friend, it looks absolutely gorgeous still. Honestly believe it's one of the best looking games of all time. Also, scariest. Stanley Coleman sends chills down my spine to this day.
