I'd like to see more changes occur as you clear up dungeons. Something like MM but more permanent.

Try to keep fighting and shitposting to a minimum.

Something in between.
Prefer to have an intended order, but many things can be done out of order entirely by accident if you aren't receptive to changes in difficulty because there's no hand holding and subtle direction.

Make combat in 3D competent for once.

Would add moves with a command list. I want to have learn how to play the character. Needs more depth in the fighting system and an increase in combat difficulty.

I would remove shitty gimmicks. The US release of the first Zelda had the right idea by dumping the mic (though they forgot to remove that from the manual - Pols Voice)

But now? Shitty drawing on touch screens. Shitty waggle. Broken motion controls (if the wiimote loses track more than once an hour, it's broke).

I'm terrified at the thought of what Nintendo will force on the player with the God-damned gamepad.

This thread is pretty unanimous about combat being too easy,
It's a shame aonion will never see it that way.

They both have their merits

A good balance of both is necessary I think. But if I had to choose between one I would go with nonlinearity.

The exploration.

Character creation. Link is just the player avatar after all (hence his name) so why not go the full way?

Probably getting the Fierce Deity Mask in Majora's Mask. It's just so satisfying to get it after going through all those side-quests and basically curb-stomping the final boss with it. It may have been replaced by the Twinmold fight in the remake though.

A more integrated version of the swordplay in Skyward Sword.

Sidequests that make you learn more about the characters or lore.

I'd add special collectible treasures. I'm sick of entering a secret cave and getting a shower of rupees as a prize. Especially considering your wallet is limited unless you do some specific annoying missions. Just lay around the world some interesting treasures, with adescription that explains the story or some past events.

More size. SS was fucking huge (skyward sword has the largest non procedurally generated world in the history of games) but more explorable area is always nice. And I trust the devs to keep every corner of it comfy :)

Just fix the stamina bar from Skyward. I love the introduction of a stamina bar and the sprinting, fast climbing, etc but move the fucking green lime

Been replaying Skyward Sword off-an-on lately. Even though it has a ton of little things that add up to being irritating as fuck (Fi treating you like a retard constantly, being reminded what a butterfly is every time you start the game), there's some really cool shit in this game that needs to be expanded on, like the stamina system and weapon/item upgrades.

I struggled with Skyward Sword because I like having a hub to fuck around in. Twilight Princess did this well, but damn Zelda is just so lifeless outside of town.
>Favorite part of Zelda (puzzles, combat, NPCs, etc)
What counts is explorable areas and NPC to interact with. Zelda is majorly lacking in towns and it sucks. This is why I like Majora's Mask a lot. People watching is fun.
>if you could introduce or extend one mechanic, what would it be?
Technical combat mode.
