I have hope but I'll wait until or even if it releases. Art and music seem top quality. Unfortunately this game can't be discussed on 4chan, you have a better chance making a undertale thread with less shitposting and falseflaging then a mother 4 thread.
What do you define an indie love letter to someone elses game's ability to "succeed"?
The Mother fans themselves are a niche audience and this is specifically catering to fans of Mother 1, the least played of the 3.

I know videos can't tell you everything, but based on the videos the Mother 4 devs released, it seems they know exactly what made Mother so great and how a theoretically "real Mother 4" would be like. For better or worse, they've earned my trust

While Undertale faggots have invaded the Mother community, I really don't think the vast majority of people who played it and never played Mother before ever bothered to try the Mother series. It could just be me being idealistic, but I feel Mother 4 is being made for Mother fans and will largely only be played by Mother fans
