I really would like to discuss more UNDERTALE on /v/. What a fantastic great game UNDERTALE IS. With it's super deep story, loveable anthromorphic characters and engaging gameplay, UNDERTALE beats out any other RPG in the genre.

It's okay. It's a quirky game with a simple but fun gimmick. The writing is very simplistic though, and can get tiring on some parts. Other than that it's okay. Not GOTY material, but a fun little game.

I went in blind aside from all the /v/ shitposting, and was pleasantly surprised when it was actually very good. Ignore the autistic fanbase if that ruins games for you, because it is in fact charming. Gameplay isn't the most difficult, but it's full of little surprises that will keep you attached. Obviously the soundtrack is candidate to be GOAT. Characters are lovable, there's lots of replayability, and the story is quite memorable, mostly due to the characters.
Just don't ever look up fan art or anything that fans create for this game, those fuckers will ruin it for you. Play the game and the game only.

Well, six hours for the first playthrough. Factoring in multple playthroughs (which are are a lot different from the first), it's more like 20. The game is pretty dense with content, you just don't see it all the first (or even second) time.
I have played the game through once and even though I enjoyed it I was disappointed because the amount of praise the game got I was expecting something extraordinary.

It's a game with a charm that will either engross you or annoy the shit out of you relentlessly. Let's just say when the most of the known jap community vocally denounces your game's dialogue as coming off as terrible otaku fanfiction that refuses to let up, you're going to get some really annoyed people if they aren't complete weebs.

I played it and though ''that was nice'', before moving onto another game.
It's quirky, and if you can't stand quirky then you'll hate this game.

Personally it was my favorite game of last year. Not necessarily the best, but the one I had the most fun with.
I should note I didn't actually play that many new games last year though. Mostly just played stuff from 2014 or even older.
It's an enjoyable game, I left feeling rather sad it was over, but satisfied that it ended as it did. I did not do a genocide run.
