Why does /v/ hate Gearbox so much? Sure it had bad moments with Colonial Marines and Duke Nekem. But it looks like they put a lot of effort and love into making this game, sure it looks like shit, but it's not a terrible game.

The badass thing is textbook forced meme, except nobody's been saying badass for probably ten years.
If you get beyond everything else /v/ hates about Battleborn, one of the biggest reasons it failed it because it tried to do so many genres at once, and they all turned out shitty as a result. If they made a refined single player or an actual multiplayer game it would have done better.
But they have single player elements that you have to grind for to play the multiplayer bullshit effectively. It's fucking stupid.
