Is there any franchise with a higher fall from grace than pic related?
Seriously I can't think of any other franchise that tried to revitalize itself with gimmicky peripherals then attempt to go back to its roots and released a glitch ridden piece of shit

Activision knew they had fucked up for sitting on the rights to the game for too long and then panicked by shitting a horribly unfinished game into store shelves literally 1 day before their rights expired.
Oh, and they shipped out the entire game as a day 1 patch because they technically weren't allowed to rerelease it in stores.

I was blinded by my nostalgia goggles. There were a ton of red flags that I ignored. There were no reviews posted before the game came out, and when I went into GameStop to but it they had ordered literally only 5 copies, and 3 of them were pre-orders.

If you just want the best of the Microphones listen to the Glow Part 2 and Mount Eerie. Make sure you've got an hour or so to listen to Mount Eerie in one sitting, it's a wonderful trip.Also the guy behind the Microphones, Phil Eleverum, his wife just died a few days ago

Anon there's so much I can say about the gameplay.

>reverts don't work properly, combos end prematurely
>instead of tapping a face button to do a trick like double/triple kickflip, you have to tap the directional button multiple times and then the face button
>special meter doesn't refill during combos
>can't switch grinds/manuals during a grind/manual
>levels are lazy as fuck, it's just a basic environment with crate-a-park props placed everywhere
>holding grind button will make you slam down onto a rail, which can really fuck up your timing and combos
They added a toggle option for the slam feature though, there's alot more I can talk about with this piece of shit. There's no create-a-skater, no tags for wallslapping, no memorable goals.Worst of all, there's no way to mess with the soundtrack. It doesn't tell you the name of the songs, you can't filter any songs, you cannot fuck with the soundtrack at all and most of it is Hot Topic pop-rock trash that isn't memorable.

Words cannot describe how much love I put into the THPS series. I collected and played every game extensively, including the GBA and DS titles.
It probably would've been cheaper for Activision to fork over the cash to whoever they needed to make an HD port of a previous game, instead of putting money into this piece of shit
