Amtrak singlehandedly shit all over an everloving passion I've had for trains since I took a field trip on a bullet train as a kid out of Poughkeepsie, NY
20 years old, visiting my father who's fresh out of pancreatic tissue excission.
My train was off schedule twice, the final time was on the eve of Halloween, I was so sleep deprived the fact that I was in Central Square in the middle of NYC with little to no money made it all worse. Could've had a helluva time.
fucking conductor asks me where I'm headed, puts a fucking flash card above my seat, I pass out from exhaustion, wake up 2 hours outside of my stop.
Worse yet 2 days were spent on the fucking train, not once did they had any food in the "food" car.
Maybe it's gotten better since 07/09 but I wouldn't hold my goddamn breath.

To reply to OP tho, I always found cities skylines to be pretty comfy. Especially with the day/night mode now. FTL is another game that is max comfy to me and has a top teir soundtrack.
