Vendors at gunshows MUST do a background check, there is no "gunshow loophole", the only time you can buy a gun without a background check is though a private sale, as in
"Hey Bob I want to buy your gun"
"Ok Jim I will sell it to you "
A private sell can happen anywhere, not just at a gun show(but remember, buying from a vendor at a gunshow still requires a background check.)
And even then its still illegal to sell to someone that would fail a background check, so it would still be a crime for someone to sell a gun to a felon even though a private sale.
I have never seen anyone that knew anything about gunlaws that was for gun control.
