80's and early 90's action flicks are fucking diamond and should be referenced at every turn. They are funny still because they are from a different era where you could make a movie about a muscle-bound guy slaughtering hundreds of enemies on his own, firing and carrying vehicle-mounted weapons, and all in a serious tone.
It was an innocent time that no one has yet been able to replicate. And probably never will.

I liked it. It's basically a retread of Pitch Black (Riddick lurking around a group of people and fucking with them but then aliens start attacking) but it does continue the overall story a little bit. I think they played it safe because the second movie didn't do too well and the budget for this one was substantially lower. They've apparently started working on a fourth movie too.

Adding unnecessary complexity to a game doesn't automaticaly make it better. Victoria 2 (while being one of my favorite games) gains nothing from its ridiculous trade and recruitment systems. Same thing with HoI3 and the order of battle.
Also, the only other decent game I can think of that combines character roleplaying, strategy and intrigue is King of Dragon Pass and that is much more limited in its scope than CK2.
