So I guess we'll never find out how Clover and Alice came back to the past from VLR.

I feel like people didn't catch one of the sub themes of the game was what it means to travel through time. The shifting, cloning, quantum computing, and mind hacking were all different ways of accomplishing the same thing. I thought it was sort of a neat philosophy thing going on.

>>345398649
They were, except they were all either grounded in some sort of real science or they were led up to.
>Shifting
Basically just the evolution of ESPer and the morphogenetic field, which were both elaborated on and alluded to in depth in their respective games.
>Cloning
A real life science application that has already been used in a previous game after having been alluded to with FTS's massive amounts of followers and Alice's kidnapped father.
>Quantum Computing
A real life studies and a theoretical occurrence, and a gradual extension of Shrodinger's Cat.
>Mind Hacking
A bit of a stretch, but Brother was already known to be able to read minds and touch the minds of others, since he was so in tune with the morphogenetic field
>Alien Time Fax Machine
No alluding to it, no foreshadowing, and the official explanation is literally "aliens lol".
Everything else, even Mind hacking, felt at least a little grounded in the game's reality. The Alien fax machine just comes across as a deus ex machina.

Hit-and-miss.
I enjoyed most of them, but there's also the lowest amount of puzzle rooms in the series. 13 compared to 999/VLR's 16There's also not a single puzzle room on the True End timeline.
>>345400097
They're okay, not as good as VLR but better than 999's. Not enough of them though, and the game sorely lacks a final puzzle room. There's a lot more mini-game stuff which seems to be divisive.
>>345399756
Why is Airy so hot in that forme jfc
>>345396975
what poisoned morphogenetic field?
>>345400097
Not really.
They're all really easy. The transporter room one, supposedly the hardest one in the game, is the only one that requires non-linear thinking, and even then it's still pretty easy.
Honestly, the hardest part in the puzzle rooms is occasionally having to play "find the pixel", which gets REALLY bad on the 3ds version and kinda bad on every other version.
>>345400097
The puzzles were easy-Professor-Layton grade. Figuring out what to click on in rooms was the harder part
I just finished and I have some questions
>Why does Q get his name retconned to Sean? I understand that's his real name but how does everyone retroactively know that?
>Why the fuck did Delta never appear until the very end if he was supposedly there the whole time? Was he just not a participant? Which team was he with? Why did nobody acknowledge his existence at all?
>Why doesn't anyone care that Mira is a confirmed serial killer? Why doesn't Eric care that Mira killed his mom?
Daily reminder that people only like 999 because they had to replay it 5 or more times to get the trtue ending.
Literal brainwashing
>>345396679
I'd think it would be funny if Sigma and Akane forgot about them like they forgot about Kyle. Just All Ice for an eternity.
>>345400390
From the Wiki (which is paraphrasing Dio's and Akane's explanation of Brother in VLR)
"Brother has a mysterious special power, described as being able to "touch the thoughts of other people and see into them".
Unfortunately, it left him constantly exposed to the negative and corrupt side of humanity and all of humanity's worst aspects. This fueled Brother's misanthropy and disgust of humanity.
Brother realized humanity was being severely brainwashed and these contagious toxic thoughts were poisoning the morphogenetic field, like a cancerous consciousness. He realized this led to all kinds of negative emotions (impure thoughts lead to impure manifestations in reality, and impure manifestations in reality lead to impure thoughts, like a vicious cycle). He also realized this brainwashing dated back a long, long time - more than hundreds and thousands of years - since time immemorial. This explained the poor current state of humanity in his lifetime - all of the genocide and wars.
Of course, Brother could also read the hearts and minds of children and saw their purity and innocence in comparison to adults. Unfortunately, Brother saw the same toxic poisoning of children's consciousnesses as they grew into partially corrupt teens and then into corrupt adults."
Basically, in VLR Brother was being set up to be a well-intentioned extremist who wanted to save the Morphogenetic field via whatever means necessary. In ZTD, he got Zig-Zagged into "always the good guy", and the poisoning of the morphogenetic field was brushed aside and never mentioned.

Not sure what exactly your first question is asking, but Sean never gets referred to as Q.
Delta is participating with Q team, but bad writing makes it difficult to figure that out. There is actually a tonne of hints that there is a 4th participant in Q team, but there is just way too many contradictions.
Bad writing, who the fuck knows. Delta makes he participate, kills her in one timeline, and lets her go free in the ending.
>>345400727
Like the files say, Sean is never actually called Q by any of the characters. The player is just being tricked by stuff like the artbook calling him Q.
Delta is mentioned by the characters, but he's never onscreen because you, the player, are seeing through his eyes.

>Why doesn't anyone care that Mira is a confirmed serial killer? Why doesn't Eric care that Mira killed his mom?
Her tits were too great.
>>345401105
Because it was a misleading Narrative.
No one called the kid Q ever. Anytime they said anything about Q they were talking about the Blind/Deaf man in the wheelchair that was ALWAYS JUST OUT OF THE CAMERA'S REACH.
Yes, it's a completely bullshit twist. Even worse, there was no reason for him to be there, since his mindhacking works from a distance, and there was no interaction he had with the teams since he was fucking blind and deaf.
No, there's no real way to defend this. Uchi probably stroked out.

>>345401265
You're seeing it through his eyes, which see it through his glasses, which see it through the computer, which see the world from a third person perspective. That just makes it all the more retarded that Delta doesn't appear in front of the camera.
The stupidest thing about the Delta always being Q is that delta had no reason to call himself Q in the game. The name Delta is just as valid to be used, but he changed it to Q so that it'd fit the twist. It's literally only so the amnesiac gets a one letter name (at least from the players point of view). Like, even if we just assumed Sean was called Delta, nothing would change and it would keep the twist the same in for the player, actually making it more mindscrewy. But it's because they wanted to think the amnesiac didn't know his name that they Delta is called Q

>>345401627
There's actually no reason for Delta to even be a participant in the game.
It doesn't help him at all. It doesn't further his plans. He doesn't interact with anyone or do anything in a way that he couldn't have done via observing instead and just occasionally coming out of the woodworks to laugh in their faces.
But then, the other twist (that all the wards are the same and everyone's awake at the different times) is the same thing. So everyone's been in the same areas the whole time. So what? The ONLY difference it made is that C-Team gets a slightly unfair advantage when it comes to pressing the Yellow button. And that's it. That's the only thing that it changes, and that doesn't even ultimately matter.

>>345402303
It kind of does if you don't know the details behind who he is. His identity being obscured alone is suspicious enough, there's no guarantee he's telling the truth about his amnesia and remembering the amount of specific things he recites makes that claim seem dubious. His name isn't on the x-pass board and he wasn't part of the Mars experiment so the only person who could have put him there is the mastermind, meaning he probably serves some goal of the mastermind or is the mastermind himself. Yes, it is a little doubtful a child could be a threat but the amount of unknown surrounding his character overshadows that a bit.
If they wanted to stop the spread of Radical-6, wasn't enough to just -not- send Sigma into his past self so he keeps living a normal life and never goes to Rhizome, never fucks Diana and Delta is never born?

Zero Time Dilemma completely ignores the idea of that being a problem and goes nuts with Sigma and Diana running into their dead selves and the two Carloses.
Why didn't Delta make copies of himself? He had the fax machine long enough to make 23 copies of himself, surely they would have been helpful to have around. And that's not even counting if he sent himself into the past to acquire the machine even earlier, and kept doing so all the way until the German acquisition of the machine. I like to believe she does have latent mind hacks, if only to make mind hacks in general less silly. There's her 999 ends and her seducing Sigma as proof, and I plan to comb the 999 and VLR remakes to form some sort of cohesive theory.

I still don't understand Sleeping Beauty paradox but apparently it's been disproved?
Was there even a point to Monty Hall besides the gas mask? I felt like a lot of these had no thematic relevance like the previous games did.
>>345404193
C'mon anon. It's obvious that it's just she's sexy and they're horny. Don't overthink it. It's hardly cohesive

Fuck the dice puzzle. I just gave up and looked up the solution after spending 20 minutes on it
>>345404252
The sleeping beauty one was just a metaphor for the whole game. It's supposed to click when Sean says "What if they asked them a thousand times?"
The thousand times is the whole game resulting from guessing the coin face wrong while guessing right just ended it
>>345404252
The idea behind sleeping beauty is that basically, if there are three options
Monday Heads
Monday Tails
Tuesday Tails
Is there a two in three chance that the coin was tails?
There might have been some level of thematic relevance to Sleeping Beauty, but Uchi probably just thought a monty hall game would be cool.
>>345404548
...Oh shit, I just noticed that the one I replied to is "Carlos 2." Dammit. I fell right into that one.
>>345404627
Only if you think humanity isn't worth saving.
>>345404346
What? Uchikoshi gets to make an entire dumb game about mind hacking, but I can't make a single dumb theory about it? That'ssimply unfair.
>>345404480
Cute. Let her play 999 and see if she likes it. ZTD, eeeeh not enough high quality puzzles probably.
>>345404982
You can make it, but it will never be valid. Delta states mind hacking is a result of his very specific epigenetics.
Still, I wont stop you believing it. I just don't understand why you would want to when it jus complicates maters even more, and raises more plotholes than one would llke

Whoops. I misread what you said. You didn't *understand* why it was Carlos' fault.I don't either and think Akane's and Junpei's blaming of Carlos is stupid. Akane and Junpei were already in the fucked timeline. They could have transfered to the timeline where Sigma and Diana were fucking instead but didn't.
>>345408552
You aren't going to be memeing with Japanese VA.
>>345408552
MEME dub for a MEME game. Like Metal Gear
>>345396679
Not to mention we'll never learn anything more about All-ice. Total dogshit that this plotline was dropped. Why would Uchi tease it for two games and then drop entirely in Zero Turd Dilemma?
>>345408216
Some people just really hate how seemingly dumb he comes off at that part and mistakenly think that Delta hasn't been tracking the 2nd/"10 Months" Carlos.
So, they blame him for the entire problem. It helps a lot that Junpei and Akane do the same to an extent.
The reality is that there's probably a timeline does exist where he did try to stop Zero.
>Zero constantly talks at a volume lower than the music
Who was on sound for this game?
>>345409086
Professional ice cream salesmen.
>>345409086
Yeah, that shit was annoying. I remember reading the reviews and thinking that they were probably overexaggerating the audio/pixel issues for the 3DS version, but man there is a lot of technical shit wrong with this game. I thought I would have been able to look past it, but it made a mediocre game at best even worse.
>>345408926

>>345408926
All-ice was only teased in 999 and VLR answered it (it wasn't real).
Fuck, Kill, Marry,Transport To Ten Months Ago
>>345409489
Zero Time Dilemma had the largest number of staff of the three games. And before the release, Uchikoshi was bragging about how much better the graphics and puzzles were than the previous games.
>>345399130
>Why would Akane have the transporter in the first place?

Honestly, it's cause Uchi's a fucking hack.
>>345409582
But what about__Delta__?
>>345409548
I meant the the audio mixing and Zero's quiet voice. Even after I went into settings to make sure the music wasn't louder than every character, I could still only barely hear Zero. The visuals for the game were alright.
>>345409489
And don't forget, you people who played 999 and VLR are NOT the audience
>>345409645
lmao, dodged the question like a champ
>>345408678
>Carlos being green-eyed
Before ZTD came out I said the same to people who were arguing that he was a Left clone and they blamed it on the art style+insisted that he was blue-eyed. I gave up after a while.
