NSMBWii was a great revival of 2D Mario. There are legitimate cash-ins like NSMB2, that much is true; but in NSMBWii's case they actually put some love and care into the level design.
Not saying it was as good as Super Mario World, as that was the pinnacle of the series, but that doesn't make NSMBWii bad in any way. Also, adding in the option to play with 3 other people was great. Made for some good times back in the day.

Pokemon Go has no content and their original idea was leagues better than the game we got right now.
Their original idea was that pokemon would actually be specific to locations around the globe which would bring trading in to the mix.
Instead everyone has the same starter pokemon no matter where they live and they find the same pokemon throughout as they level.
There is nothing to do in that game besides catch 100 copies of the same pokemon and then level up.
Holding a gym is pointless and rewards next to nothing. The dodge system is so broken that you can beat any gym without getting touched.
But no need to worry they will be making millions more off pokemon go plus accessories from sheep who purchase them thanks to having "pokemon" in the title.
They just need to make sure the game doesn't get stale quick but as of right now many of us have reached the peak of the game in less than 2 weeks.

Yeah I was looking into Bayonetta and Mario Maker among other games like WW and TP HD (I have OoT and MM 3D so that'd complete the HD remake collection).
Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is pretty great. It's the Vita version so there's less enemies on screen at once, but it's not that big of a deal considering the game runs well. It has tons of characters and since Ultimate is a compilation of the base game and all of the expansions there's a lot of stages. I play it on and off so I don't burn myself out on it and I'm still not done with the Story

Gym "battles" and "battles" in general are a joke thanks to the dodge system and aside from 10 - 100 gold assuming you can hold or obtain 10 gyms the rewards for doing so are not worth it.
You get way more Stardust catching all those Pidgey, Caterpie, Weedle, and Rattata then you do for holding a gym.
I actually fucking play this game and can see its flaws. You can fanboy all you want about it but right now it lacks content.
Also the candy needed to level pokemon is massive inconsistent. If a Pokemon needs 100 candy to level it should always be stronger than one needing 50 candy. But its not. lets not even get started on Magikarp needing 400.
