This is actually beautifully said and quite accurate for many games, especially recent triple-A titles like The Division for one example, which basically repeats the same tired quests and enemies over and over again. However, there are indeed titles that strive to respect the player's time and give them a quality experience with minimal fluff or filler, however in this current climate of open-world spam it's becoming a bit more rare.
